Abstract/Summary:
With the rapid development of the wireless network and smart terminals,the scale of mobile payment transactions has burgeoned exponentially.Mobil payment has promoted the prosperity of network economy to a certain extent,changed the traditional cash payment method and becamethe main method of payment.China’s third-party payment platform is accompanied by the development of e-commerce,and penetrates all areas of people’s life under the premise that traditional banks have neglected the retail payment business.In recent years,third-party payment platforms have shown tremendous influence.Although adversely affecting the traditional banking retail business,they also promote bank innovation and transformation.In the retail business,most scholars study the relationship between third-party payment platforms and small and medium-sized commercial banks through qualitative methods.Based on the in-depth analysis of previous research results,this paper analyzes the co-opetition relationship between the two by constructing models and combining case analysis.To better understand the co-opetition between third-party payment platforms and small and medium-sized commercial banks in the retail business,this paper analyzes the game between small and medium-sized commercial banks and third-party payment platforms,and discusses the small and medium-sized commercial banks by taking Haixia Bank of Fujian as an example to explore the competition strategy by small and medium-sized commercial banks.The main contents of the thesis are as follows:(1)Introducing the background and significance of the research,and summarizing the literature related to this research by domestic and foreign scholars,in order to lay a good foundation for the research of the thesis.(2)Analyzing the co-opetition relationship between third-party payment platforms and small and medium-sized commercial banks by studying reality of the two on the basis of introducing the concepts of third-party payment platforms,small and medium-sized commercial banks and retail business.(3)Conducting further theoretical discussions on the third-party payment platform and the small and medium-sized commercial banks’ competition and cooperation,and constructing a game model about the third-party payment platform and small and medium-sized commercial banks by using the small and medium-sized commercial banks and third-party payment platforms as decision makers in turn.Choosing cooperation or competition as a game strategy between the two parties.Presuming that in-depth analysis of the dynamic game selection is made,the game results of the third-party payment platform and the small and medium-sized commercial banks can be obtained.(4)According to the above game analysis,and taking the Haixia Bank of Fujian as an example,by analyzing its competing status with the third-party payment platform,the author puts forward the development strategy.(5)Obtain competing conclusions between small and medium-sized commercial banks and third-party payment platforms,and put forward research prospects.
