Financial risk management is a very important branch of enterprise risk management.The financial risk management system is still developing in China.Meanwhile,the financial risk management research in western developed countries has been relatively mature.Thermal power enterprises,as a special market subject,not only relate to industrial production,commercial operation and residents’ life,but also affect the stability of social economy.With the deepening of power enterprise reform,the external environment of thermal power generation enterprises is increasingly complex,which has higher requirements on the financial risk control ability of thermal power generation enterprises such as S power plant.The most important is to strengthen the management and control of financial risk on the basis of the original internal control,and to build a financial risk management system is a feasible way.This article adopts the method of empirical research,first of all,through the elaboration of financial risk in the electric power enterprise application research situation as well as the theoretical basis of financial risk management,combining the basic characteristics of S power plant,operating and financial risk management status quo,analysis of the power plant S establish financial risk management system of the feasibility,necessity,basic method and implementation steps.Next is the financial risk identification,according to each department S power plant to provide current and potential financial risks together into the risk list,followed by the staff to carry out the questionnaire,after recycling effective questionnaire summary get every financial risk in risk assessment of risk classification result,then put forward different on different significant financial risk control strategies and methods,establish a preliminary financial risk early warning indicators,building S power plant was studied by financial risk management system framework.Finally,the measures to ensure the operation of financial risk management system of S power plant and Suggestions for further improvement are put forward.
