Research On The Impact Of ASEAN Free Trade Agreement (AFTA) On Vietnam’s Economic And Trade Investment

The development and trend of economic globalization and economic integration have brought the economic exchanges of international countries into a new era of unprecedented scale and degree.Among them,Free Trade Area has become an emerging trend and one of the policy instruments for countries around the world to promote trade liberalization between countries,promote regional economies and revitalize economic globalization.Following the active efforts of all countries in the world,Vietnam has also strived for this opportunity to quickly integrate.For Vietnam,in the process of establishing and developing Vietnam’s economic transformation and successfully turning Vietnam’s economy into a market economy,international economic integration,especially the opening of trade exchanges between Vietnam and the world,is an important step.Since the reform(1986),Vietnam has actively participated in the process of economic globalization.If considering the normalization of Vietnam’s relations with the United States(1995)and the participation of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations(ASEAN)(1995)as Vietnam’s first milestone in international economic integration,so far,Vietnam has entered the process of economic globalization for more than 20 years.During this period,Vietnam has experienced many important milestones,such as joining the ASEAN Free Trade Area in 1996,signing a bilateral trade agreement with the United States(BTA-2001)and entering the World Trade Organization(WTO-2007).Among them,Vietnam’s participation in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations-ASEAN is an important step.Through the thesis:"Research on the Impact of ASEAN Free Trade Agreement(AFTA)on Vietnam’s Economic and Trade Investment "the author wants to provide detailed understanding and determination of the Communist Party of Vietnam and the state to implement the ASEAN Free Trade Agreement.At the same time,the author will propose to achieve the achievements.From then on,readers will see the smoothness and difficulties,opportunities and challenges of Vietnam’s accession to the ASEAN Free Trade Area,so as to see the long-term development strategy.
