The Impact Of Manufacturing Structure Change In Northeast China On Regional Economic Growth

The essence of economic growth is a structural transformation process.Different stages of economic growth correspond to different industrial structures and have different leading industries.As an important factor affecting economic growth,industrial structure has always been the focus of scholars' discussion.At the beginning of the founding of New China,the Northeast region became an important industrial and manufacturing development base in China,relying on the national development strategy and its own resource advantages.It made an important contribution to the development of China's industrialization.By the 1960 s,a complete industrial model dominated by heavy chemical industry was formed,which is an important base for the development of heavy chemical industry in China.With the continuous development of the economy and economy,the growth vitality of the Northeast region has also declined,and the economic growth rate has gradually fallen behind the national level.With the adjustment of the industrial structure in the Northeast,the industrial structure has also evolved from the primary industry and the secondary industry to the tertiary industry,and the industrial structure has been continuously optimized and upgraded.As an old industrial base,the level of development of the manufacturing industry is still an important factor affecting regional economic growth.How to adjust the industrial structure of the manufacturing industry,enhance the core competitiveness of the manufacturing industry in the Northeast,and re-form the advantageous industries of economic growth in the Northeast region is particularly important.Therefore,this paper mainly analyzes the history of manufacturing changes in Northeast China and its impact on economic growth efficiency,and rethinks how to adjust the manufacturing structure to maximize the recovery and growth of the Northeast economy.By sorting out the manufacturing industry in the Northeast,and drawing on the classification criteria of the OECD for manufacturing,the manufacturing industry in the Northeast is divided into low-end technology manufacturing,mid-end technology manufacturing and high-end technology manufacturing industry.It is found that the overall high-tech industries in the three northeastern provinces are constantly developing,and the proportion of high-tech industries is also increasing.At the same time,we also found that the leading industries in Liaoning and Heilongjiang Province are still dominated by heavy chemical industries such as petrochemical industry,while the automobile manufacturing and pharmaceutical manufacturing industries in Jilin Province account for a relatively high proportion.As a traditional heavy chemical industry base,the transformation and upgrading of manufacturing industry is also relatively slow.The high consumption of high energy consumption,high pollution and high emission industries is not conducive to the sustainable economic growth of the Northeast.This paper analyzes the impact of manufacturing structure change in Northeast China on economic growth efficiency from the perspective of industrial structure upgrading and industrial structure rationalization.It measures the rationalization level of industrial structure through the Theil index,and measures the industrial structure by the proportion of high-tech industry in industry.The data from 2005 to 2015 in Northeast China were selected to empirically analyze the impact of manufacturing structure changes on regional economic growth.It is concluded that the rationalization of manufacturing industry structure has a positive effect on regional economic growth,and the industrial structure of manufacturing industry is negatively correlated with regional economic growth;the rationalization of manufacturing industry structure affects regional economic growth more than the higher level to regional economy.Therefore,when formulating industrial policies in Northeast China,it is necessary to consider both the rationalization level of regional industrial structure and the advanced level of industrial structure.We must not blindly emphasize the upgrading of the industrial structure of the manufacturing industry.We must combine the reality of regional economic growth,focus on improving the rationalization level of the industrial structure of the manufacturing industry,and balance the rationalization level of the industrial structure and the advanced level of the industrial structure.Give full play to the industrial base,geographical advantages and policy support of the Northeast region,continuously increase the added value of the manufacturing industry,and revitalize the economic growth momentum of the Northeast.
