Research On The Relationship Between Corporate Social Responsibility And Enterprise Efficiency Based On Five Development Concepts

The long-term extensive development mode pursues the speed of economic increase,but this mode neglects the quality of economic growth,which makes our country face a series of structural contradictions,such as shortage of resources,serious environmental damage,uncoordinated regional development,insufficient innovation drive and so on.The report of the 19 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China pointed out that development is the foundation and the key to solve all problems in China.Development should adhere to the five concepts of "innovation,coordination,green,openness and sharing," and adhere to the harmonious development of human beings and nature.It also puts forward the supply-side reform as the main line to promote the economic development of quality change,efficiency change and power change,to achieve more quality,more efficient,more sustainable development goals.The five major development concepts are put forward on the basis of summing up historical development experiences and focusing on the actual conditions of China,the five development concepts are scientific and feasible.As a new macro-development concept,it is necessary to implement the actual production activities in order to achieve long-term development.And as the main micro-subject to ensure the national economic operation,the enterprise is the main force to practice the five development concepts.How to combine the five development concepts with the enterprise behavior is a question,this question is worth considering.Based on the institutional background and times characteristics of China's economic development,this paper defines the connotation of corporate social responsibility based on the five development concepts according to the biological symbiosis theory and stakeholder theory,and constructs a comprehensive evaluation index system of corporate social responsibility based on the five development concepts.Taking the data of 541 listed companies in Shanghai and Shenzhen stock markets from 2014 to 2017 as the research object,and using entropy weight method to determine the weights of each dimension index.And under the perspective of five development concepts,this paper examines the relationship between the total level of corporate social responsibility and the level of each dimension responsibility and the efficiency of the enterprise through the full sample test and group test,to explore the internal incentive mechanism of the integration of the five development concepts and corporate behavior.The results of full sample test show indicate: Active corporate social overall responsibility,innovation responsibility,coordination responsibility,green responsibility and open responsibility are beneficial to the improvement of corporate efficiency;Fulfilling green responsibility helps to improve overall efficiency and scale efficiency;Fulfilling the sharing responsibility helps increase scale efficiency,but it affects technical efficiency;Further research findings:The corporate social overall responsibility,coordination responsibility,and open responsibility of the enterprise with higher level of responsibility performance have a greater impact on the efficiency of the enterprise,the degree of influence of innovation responsibility on technical efficiency and the influence of green responsibility and shared responsibility on scale efficiency and technical efficiency is greater than that of enterprises with low level of responsibility;But the degree of influence of the innovation responsibility of enterprises with low level of responsibility performance on overall efficiency and scale efficiency and the impact of the green responsibility on overall efficiency are greater than those with higher level of responsibility performance;In terms of property rights:The overall social responsibility and the openness responsibility of non-state-owned enterprises have a greater impact on improving the efficiency of enterprises than state-owned enterprises;The innovation responsibility and coordination responsibility of state-owned enterprises has a greater impact on improving the efficiency of enterprises;green responsibility has a greater impact on improving overall efficiency and scale efficiency of state-owned enterprises;in the non-state-owned enterprises,the green responsibility has a greater impact on the technical efficiency;and the shared responsibility has a greater impact on the improvement of the overall efficiency and the scale efficiency of the non-state-owned enterprises.
