In the new era,Chinese enterprises are facing diversified challenges such as economy,social transformation,informatization,globalization,Internet,sharing economy and artificial intelligence.Therefore,it is the trend of the development of modern enterprises to cultivate entrepreneurs with a sense of social responsibility and develop people-oriented high-performance organizations.Small and medium-sized private enterprises play an important role in China's national economy.The development of small and medium-sized private enterprises is directly related to the prosperity of China's urban and rural economy,the increase of fiscal revenue,the expansion of social employment and the improvement of people's quality of life.As the main force in the contemporary small and medium-sized private enterprises,the professional quality and innovative spirit of the new generation of employees are indispensable nutrients for the development of small and medium-sized private enterprises.The work performance of the new generation of employees will also significantly affect the overall work performance of the enterprise.The role of leadership in the career of the new generation of employees cannot be ignored.The leader should maximize the work potential of the new generation of employees and mobilize their enthusiasm to better achieve organizational goals.This paper reviews the traditional leadership theory,charismatic leadership theory and transformational transactional leadership theory,constructs the transformational leadership model framework of the impact of new generation employees work performance,and then on the basis of domestic and foreign related research put forward the research hypothesis,takes the new generation employees in small and mediumsized private enterprises of Gansu province as the research object,discusses the influence of a lot virtues,vision incentive,charisma and personalized care in the transformational leadership on the task performance,the peripheral performance and adaptive performance of new generation employees work performance.By reviewing and sorting out some current mediating variables in the relationship between transformational leadership and work performance,the paper further understands its mechanism of action.Finally,taking organizational identity as an example,the paper explores the mediating effect of organizational identity on the relationship between transformational leadership and work performance of the new generation of employees in small and medium-sized private enterprises in Gansu province.Questionnaires were sent out in the field and online to obtain data.Statistical methods such as correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis were used to verify the research hypotheses.Finally,relevant countermeasures and suggestions were put forward based on the results of empirical analysis.Based on the collection of questionnaires and the analysis of data,this study mainly draws the following conclusions: transformational leadership can significantly positively stimulate the work performance of the new generation of employees in small and medium-sized private enterprises in Gansu province;The organizational identity of the new generation of employees in small and medium-sized private enterprises of Gansu province can significantly and positively stimulate their work performance;Transformational leadership can significantly positively stimulate the new generation of employees' organizational identity;The organizational identity of the new generation of employees plays an intermediary role between transformational leadership and their work performance.In conclusion,to improve the working performance of the new generation employees,stimulate their enthusiasm for work,small and medium-sized private enterprises of Gansu province must pay attention to the dimensions of transformational leadership,at the same time,improve the new generation of employees' organizational identity were also is one of the effective ways to improve their work performance,only the new generation employees have a strong sense of belonging to the enterprise,will they create greater value for the enterprise.
