Today,the achievements of information infrastructure construction are obvious to all,and its role in enhancing comprehensive national strength and promoting economic development is obvious.Firstly,information infrastructure has become the pillar of social and economic development;secondly,the construction of information infrastructure will drive the development of information science and technology and other high-tech technologies.In addition,information infrastructure equipment also has a huge demand market,which will invisibly drive other industries and become one of the elements to promote economic development;thirdly,information infrastructure will promote the development of information technology and other high-tech technologies.The construction of facilities will also promote the improvement of total factor productivity,bring about technological progress and accelerate social and economic development.Using panel data of 53 cities in China from 2008 to 2016,this paper empirically examines the impact of information infrastructure on urban housing prices.It is found that information infrastructure has gradually become an important driving force for economic growth and urban housing price increase,and economic growth plays an intermediary role in the process of information infrastructure affecting economic development.The results show that: in the eastern and central regions of China,the improvement of information infrastructure has a significant role in promoting economic growth,and then driving the rise of urban housing prices;the intermediary effect of economic growth on housing price changes is the strongest in the eastern region,followed by the whole country,because the eastern region is the center of the national economy,coupled with the perfect information infrastructure conditions.As a result,the industrial agglomeration effect in the eastern region is strongest,and the impact of information infrastructure on housing prices is greater.Therefore,in order to give full play to the impact of information infrastructure on industrial and economic development,we need to adhere to the strategy of coordinated regional development,realize the effective diffusion and re-agglomeration of industrial layout,deepen market reform,and gradually realize the healthy and orderly development of China's economy.
