A Case Study Of Enhancing The Innovation Ability Of The R&D Team Of CZ Design Institute

At the background of the overcapacity of equipment manufacturing industry,the market competition is becoming increasingly fierce.In order to survive in the complex and changing market,a small manufacturing enterprise-CZ Design Institute,whose economic strength and technological power are weaker,has been seeking the opportunity to cooperate with large enterprises as the subcontractor to obtain more advanced technology,and improve their research and innovation capacity.Meanwhile,in order to reduce costs and develop core technology,the BaoSteel Group subcontracts the larger projects,hoping the SMEs with technical expertise to aid in the completion of the overall project.Thus the technical cooperation of CZ Design Institute and the BaoSteel Group came into being.During the process of cooperation,as the technology follower,the improvement of its R&D team's innovation ability is very representative for the innovative activities of the manufacturing SMEs.In this thesis,the enhancement process of the innovation ability in the BGRDX technology subcontracting project for the research and development(R&D)team in the CZ Design Institute was selected as a case study.First of all,the knowledge theory related to the improvement of innovation ability was expounded,including the motives and methods of technological innovation,the promotion of innovation ability,and the evaluation system of enterprise innovation performance,etc.Secondly,the innovation process of the project collaborated with the Baosteel Group was described in detail,and the innovative methods,the innovative activities and the innovative achievements of CZ Design Institute in different stages of the cooperative project were comprehensively displayed.Finally,the interrelated theory of the innovation improvement ability was used to analyze the case of CZ Design Institute.Through the technical collaboration with the Baosteel Group,CZ Design Institute acquired new technology,formed an innovation system which is suitable for the subcontracting project,and eventually realized the opportunities to enter into new areas.This thesis aims to summarize the effective ways and methods in how to enhance their innovation ability under the background of sub-package technology for the R&D team of small and medium sized manufacturing enterprises which are technology followers of outsourcing.And the ones in how to build an efficient innovation system environment etc.are also determined.This will provide valuable reference and support for the small and medium-sized enterprises in the technical sub-package projects to seek for the way to their own innovative development and to enhance the core competitiveness of enterprises in the market.
