In recent years, with the rapid development of science and technology, the advancement of globalization, and the shortening of the product life cycle, the market has gradually approached saturation. In order to cope with the turbulent and complex environment and avoid fierce vicious competition, enterprises need to cooperate with each other to acquire the resources needed for innovation activities, thus opening up new markets. In the past, the simple cooperation mode or competition mode between enterprises has been unable to adapt to the development of the times, and the co-opetition strategy has emerged. The development of economic globalization has promoted the increasingly close exchanges between countries and regions. However, competition among Chinese administrative regions is still dominated and cooperation awareness is weak.At present, the research on enterprise competition and cooperation mostly discusses the relationship between the competition strategy and its innovation performance, while the research on the innovation bias effect of enterprises is relatively rare.In addition, the dual architecture of enterprise competition and network and space layout is relatively scarce for enterprise innovation.Based on the theory of resource-based view, this study explores the relationship between corporate co-opetition and corporate innovation bias and the role of spatial segmentation in regulating these relationships.Based on the questionnaire data of 298 Chinese manufacturing enterprises, this paper uses SPSS22.0 and AMOS 17.0 software to empirically test the research model through regression analysis and group regression. The related hypothesis test is carried out on the relationship between corporate competition and corporate innovation bias, the relationship between cooperation and innovation bias, the relationship between firm co-opetition and innovation bias, and the role of spatial segmentation in the influence of these relationships. The research results show that:(1)The intensity of competition between enterprises positively affects independent innovation;the intensity of cooperation has a significant positive effect on independent innovation and dependent innovation.(2)Spatial segmentation has a regulating effect on the competitive strength and innovation bias of enterprises:enterprises that face cross-space competition are more inclined to independent innovation than those in the same space competition.(3)Spatial segmentation has a regulating effect on the intensity of cooperation and innovation bias of enterprises:enterprises that face cross-space cooperation are more inclined to independent innovation than those in space cooperation.(4)The co-opetition behavior between enterprises positively affects the independent innovation of enterprises, but the impact on the dependent innovation is not significant.(5)The spatial division of competition-cooperative relationship has significant differences on the impact of corporate innovation bias. The research promotes the related research on co-opetition,space and innovation in theory. What's more, this paper can provide practical guidance for enterprises to improve their innovation level in practice.
