The number of mobile phone users around China has already reached 817 million till December 2018,including 64.33 million new mobile phone users increased throughout the year.At the same time, with the continuous development of 4G communication technology, and the gradually mature of 5G mobile communication technology, the development of mobile Internet applications in China will open a new page.More and more Chinese Internet companies have realized that it is not enough to form complete competitive advantages because of a large number of application users. The users' dependent on the Internet application,in another word, the time that users spending on the application,is the key to determining the value of the application.Only by inciting the users' emotions, and attracting users through the Internet application itself, they can occupy users'time, increase user retention rate, and finally maximize the economic value of an Internet application. Therefore, major mobile application companies will definitely and actively fight for users to have their limited time in the next development of mobile applications.Generally speaking, addiction refers to things that bring negative influences to people. It refers to things that people can't control themselves after contact. While 'the hooked' we talk about in this paper refers to the users that have been attracted after using a mobile application, and finally rely on the application. The Hook Model is such an targeted model, which guides users to form habits step by step, from triggering, action, variable rewards, and investment.Once users develop using the application into a habit,a non-essential application may become a necessity for them under the influence of the Hook Model(such as the short video application that we talk about in the paper on analysis and research). So how does the company recommend a non-essential Internet application to the users and let them enjoy using and immersing into it?What is the difference between the different types of mobile applications under the influence of the Hook Model? What problems will the application encounter at each stage of the Hook Model? And what strategies are in place to deal with these problems? Those are the main content of this paper to study.Content-based Internet applications, especially short-video applications, are the leader in influencing users' emotions among other Internet applications. The short video applications rose rapidly in 2018,with usage rates as high as 78.2%,and user size growth rates were as high as 9.1%in the second half of 2018.This paper will conduct an interview investigation on the behavior of users based on the Hook Model acts on different types of Internet applications.Selecting Tik Tok as the example to analysis its problems and strategies in each stage based on the Hook Model. After summary the theory and analysis the example,we will have a method that can be landed to increasing users'using time in the Internet applications.
