With the rapid development and the increasing international prestige of China's tourism industry,more and more foreign tourists choose to travel China in recent years.According to the analysis and estimation of the World Tourism Organization,China will be the world's top tourist destination country in 2020.Inbound tourism market plays an important role in the lifeblood of national and regional tourism development.To accurately grasp the developing trend of inbound tourism market is of great significance to promote the development of national and regional tourism healthy,stable and sustainable.Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region,a historic province,located in the geometric center of China's territory.Among the 95 basic types of tourismresources in 10 categories,Ningxia has 46 types in 8 categories.However,Ningxia's tourism industry has developed inadequacy in recent years,which leads that the strength in tourism resources exerts little influence on economy.Compared with the other regions of China,inbound tourism development market of Ningxia remains relatively backward.The preference scale and competition state can reveal the dynamic trend of inbound tourism of a region,and provide useful reference for formulating and adjusting inbound tourism policy and opening up inbound tourism market.Based on The Yearbook of China Tourism Statistics and The Yearbook of Ningxia Statistics,this paper collects the data of tourists and the foreign exchange earnings of Ningxia's tourism from the main inbound tourist source countries between 2007 and 2016 by means of data collation,chart analysis and summary description.This paper introduces the preference scale and competition state to analysis 16 major inbound tourist sources of Ningxia.The research and analysis finds that the inbound tourism market in Ningxia has a high degree of preference scale,and concentrated to the preference market;the overall competitive situation shows good;the relativity between preference scale and competition state in the inbound tourism market in Ningxia assume significant.In terms of comprehensive analysis of Ningxia's inbound tourism market,This paper proposes a series of development strategies about tourism resources in Ningxia,for example,accurately conforming the target tourist market,developing multivariant inbound tourism market,completing infrastructure,strengthening policies guideline,deepening international cooperation,exploiting cultural resources,and increasing publicity and promotion of tourism.
