Research On The Location Selection Of China's Direct Investment In The EU

With the wave of economic globalization sweeping across the world,economic exchanges between countries all over the world are getting closer and closer.In recent years,with the active implementation of China's "going global" strategy,China's foreign investment and cooperation shows a rapid and stable development trend.During this period,compared with traditional investment in developing countries,China's investment in developed countries has increased particularly rapidly.Obviously,foreign investment has been an important means for Chinese enterprises to actively participate in the global international division of labor,and an important way to enhance China's international competitiveness.The European Union is the most developed country in the world.These developed countries have obvious advantages over the developing countries in science and technology level,market scale level,enterprise management experience,product marketing strategy and so on.These conditions and advantages enable the EU to attract enterprises from all over the world to invest and set up factories in EU countries and become one of the most attractive economies in the world to attract foreign direct investment.In the initial stage of reform and opening up,China began to try direct investment activities in EU countries.After entering the 21 st century,the state has issued a series of policies to relax the investment restrictions of Chinese enterprises abroad and encourage them to "go abroad and go to the world".This has led to the large-scale growth of China's direct investment in the EU,the rapid growth of investment flows,and the diversification of investment fields.Against this background,combined with our leaders' "seize the Europe" and "one belt and one road",we will have broad prospects for China's direct investment in EU countries in the future.However,there are currently 28 EU member states(including Britain,which has not formally left Europe).The level of economic development and investment environment of each member state are very different.The investment policies,attitudes towards investment from China and investment opportunities for Chinese enterprises are not identical.China's direct investment in EU countries is different.The situation is also different.This paper studies thegeographical distribution characteristics of China's direct investment in the EU,summarizes the motives of China's direct investment in the EU,analyzes the factors affecting these geographical distribution,and finds out the opportunities and challenges of China's direct investment in the EU in the future,so as to provide the corresponding countermeasures and suggestions for the Chinese government and enterprises so as to enable China to be self-sufficient.The advantages and disadvantages of China should be combined with the advantages and disadvantages of other countries,so as to promote the stable and healthy development of China's direct investment to EU countries in the future.The structure of this article is as follows:The first chapter is the introduction,which mainly introduces the background of this topic,expounds the significance of this paper,combs the domestic and foreign literatures on the general theory of FDI,location theory and the factors affecting the location selection of FDI,then introduces the research methods of this paper,and finally puts forward the paper.The second chapter summarizes the development process of China's location selection of direct investment to the EU in two stages,outlines the characteristics of location distribution in corresponding stages,introduces the status quo of China's location selection of direct investment to the EU in detail from different perspectives,and analyzes the current location selection of China's direct investment to the EU.The problem is to prepare for the following countermeasures and suggestions.Chapter three summarizes the motives of Chinese enterprises' direct investment in the EU from four aspects: market seeking,strategic asset seeking,trade barrier avoidance and resource seeking,and analyzes the factors that affect the location choice of Chinese enterprises' direct investment in the EU;Chapter four,from the perspective of the location of Chinese enterprises' direct investment in the EU.Six representative factors were selected from the European Union,and 10 representative countries were selected from the European Union.With the help of econometric analysis tools,panel data were used to test the impact of each factor on China's choice of investment location in the European Union.Chapteranalysis,induction and empirical test,get the overall conclusion,and provide the corresponding countermeasures and suggestions according to the conclusion.
