Promoting the transfer of rural labor to non-agricultural industries has a very important role in promoting the process of urbanization in China,the development of agricultural modernization,and the growth of farmers' income.And,agricultural mechanization is an important factor for the transfer of agricultural labor force.This paper takes the data of Shandong Province as the research object,and estimates the contribution of agricultural mechanization to the transfer of rural labor force in Shandong Province.According to the statistical yearbook data from 2001 to 2017 of 17 prefecture-level cities in Shandong Province,taking the number of rural laborers as the dependent variable,and the level of agricultural mechanization,per capita GDP,household per capita wage income,and per capita sown area are used as control variables.To constructing Models to Analyze the Impact of the Level of Agricultural Mechanization on the Transfer of Rural Labor.Through empirical analysis,research findings:(1)The large-scale application of agricultural machinery has led to the shift of rural labor force engaged in agricultural production.For every 1% change in agricultural machinery,the transfer of agricultural labor force has increased by 0.188 million people;(2)The development of agricultural mechanization has a greater impact on the transfer of male labor than that of female labor;(3)Due to the different levels of economic development in different regions and the differences in geographical factors,the impact of the level of agricultural machinery in land cities on the transfer of agricultural labor is greater than the transfer of labor in coastal cities.Based on empirical analysis,this paper proposes corresponding policy recommendations to government departments and related production departments in order to promote the further development of Shandong's agriculture.
