Research On The Environmental Performance Of My Country's Petrochemical Industry And Its Influencing Factors

As a pillar industry of China’s national economy,the petrochemical industry has the characteristics of wide coverage,long industrial chain,high pollution and high energy consumption.In recent years,with the increasing awareness of environmental protection and media supervision,the petrochemical industry has exposed some negative effects,and petrochemical enterprises have taken enormous environmental pressure.This urgent need for us to identify key points of environmental control effectively,so as to improve the level of environmental performance management.What is the environmental performance level of China’s petrochemical industry? What are the factors that affect the level of environmental performance? The in-depth study of these problems is of great theoretical and practical significance for the petrochemical industry to improve and improve the environmental performance level,thus ensuring the long-term healthy and sustainable development of the petrochemical industry.In view of this,this paper studies from two aspects: Theory and practice.First,through the review of relevant research literature at home and abroad,the defects and shortcomings of existing research are found out,and the innovation of the methods and contents of this paper is put forward.Secondly,by selecting the social responsibility reports and annual reports issued by 90 listed companies in the petrochemical industry for 2010-2015 years and six years as the research samples,according to the guide for sustainable development(Fourth Edition)The index system uses the index method to construct the environmental performance index.Finally,according to the characteristics of the industrial chain of the petrochemical industry,the influence factors of the environmental performance are selected from two levels and inside and outside of the enterprise.On this basis,the factors affecting the environmental performance are analyzed by the multiple linear regression model.The results show that,in general,the petrochemical industry has paid more and more attention to the disclosure of environmental information,and the number of enterprises setting independent social responsibility reports is increasing.The average score of environmental performance in China’s petrochemical industry is 0.44 points,and the overall performance level is not high.At the same time,R & D investment can significantly promote the improvement of environmental performance,and the internal environmental protection policy has the most significant role in promoting environmental performance;the government regulation and media attention belong to the external regulation and supervision system of enterprises,both have significant positive correlation with the enterprise environmental performance,and the internal regulatory mechanism and the ownership concentration have a significant role in promoting environmental performance.For state-owned enterprises and non state owned enterprises,developed and non developed areas,there are great differences in environmental performance.It can be seen that the national environmental protection departments should further standardize the content of environmental information disclosure,encourage the innovation of environmental protection technology and reduce the impact of the environment through the combination of "R & D" and "ring control".At the same time,the enterprises must attach importance to the formulation of environmental strategy,run through the environmental strategy in every link of the environmental management,actively play the environmental supervision function of the board of supervisors,and strengthen the ring.We should strengthen supervision and give full play to the supervision function of the media,so as to improve the level of environmental performance of enterprises.
