Research And Application Of Securities Company IT Infrastructure Investment Decision-Making

Information Technology(IT)has changed the structure and trading habits of the securities industry macroscopically.Information technology has become an important material basis for securities business development,securities financial innovation,and internationaliza tion of the securities market.In the early stage of the establishment of the securities market,the securities companies actively introduced information technologies such as computers and communication networks to replace the traditional artificial trading mode.After more than 20 years of development,the securities companies gradually realized the electronic,paperless and networked transaction settlement system.In recent years,the securities companies have increased investment in information technology and exploring how to make better use of IT to bring greater benefits to enterprises.IT infrastructure is the cornerstone of the stable and healthy operation of all information systems,which not only guarantees the normal operation of the current business,but also provides the technical prerequisite for diversified business in the future.In the IT investment cost of securities companies,the investment in IT infrastructure usually accounts for more than 70% of the total IT budget.However due to the traditional IT investment decision-making method is relatively simple,relatively backward technology for the construction of the IT system,resulting in high cost,low utilization rate and insufficient flexibility of IT infrastructure construction.With the deepening of the informationization degree of securities companies and the constant innovation of new technology and new businesses,the traditional IT investment fund allocation methods and IT infrastructure construction models are no longer in line with current business needs and future development.Securities companies need to re-examine Its own investment in IT investment,especially IT infrastructure assessment and decision-making methods.How to make a reasonable evaluation method and decision system for IT infrastructure construction is a big problem for medium and small securities firms.In response to this issue,the core task of this paper is to establish appropriate investment assessment and decision-making methods based on the characteristics of the securities industry and the specific conditions of the securities companies,to meet the development needs of current or even future businesses,and to determine a reasonable al ocation of funds.This article starts from the actual situation of the securities industry and take the Securities Company N as an example to sort out the current status and defects of the IT infrastructure of the securities companies.It is found that the lack of a reasonable IT investment assessment method is the main problem at present.The paper combines IT value theory,investment theory,and decision theory to formulate assessment and decision-making methods for solving problems,and verify evaluation methods through actual cases.The main methods involved include cost-benefit analysis,analytic hierarchy process,etc.These theoretical methods combined with Securities Company N's IT investment decisions,has high practical and application value.There are four phases in the decision-making method of this paper.The first phase is to summarize the operational indicators of the various components of the IT infrastructure,then select the representative evaluation indicators according to its functions,properties,and purpose,and determine the measure method of each index.Secondly,weight coefficient of each indicator is determined through the comprehensive evaluation method.The second is to determine the weights of each indicator by the method of synthetic evaluation.The third is to establish an investment value evaluation model based on the theory of cost-benefit.Finally,according to the investment constraint conditions and actual demand of Securities Company N,the investment value evaluation model is used to evaluate the alternatives of each group and find out the most reasonable solution.This paper combines the relevant theories of IT investment with the practices of Securities Company N,forming a suitable IT infrastructure investment decision analysis system,which can effectively improve the current enterprise investment decision-making level and meet the needs of precision investment.
