Investigation And Analysis Of Agricultural Technology Extension Of Nanlang Town

The development of agriculture depends on the progress of science and technology and the transformation of scientific and technological achievements.The agricultural technology extension organization is the most important channel and carrier to popularize agricultural technology to promote the transformation of agricultural scientific and technological achievements to farmers.Agricultural technology extension in China had been playing an important role in the past several decades,but there is still a little gap between China and the developed countries in the transformation of scientific and technological achievements and the efficiency of agricultural extension,especially in recent years.Many new requirements had been put forward to the agricultural technology extension with the establishment of the market economic system in China.As a big agricultural town in Zhongshan City,Nanlang Town has faced some problems in recent years.It is great significance to the development of agriculture in Nanlang Town,through the study of agricultural technology extension in Nanlang Town.This paper adopted the research method combining theory with practice.It analyzed the experience and current situation of agricultural technology extension both at home and abroad.Through questionnaire survey and empirical research,this paper analyzed the present situation of agricultural technology extension in Nanlang Town from the aspects of personnel,hardware conditions and operation conditions.This paper pointed out the problems of agricultural technology extension in Nanlang Town:(1)the allocation of agricultural technology extension personnel and the structure of professional title were unreasonable;(2)the hardware conditions of agricultural technology extension needed to be improved;(3)the enthusiasm of the agricultural extension personnel was poor and the efficiency of popularization was not good;(4)the mode of agricultural technology extension was obsolete and the form was monotonous;(5)the content of agricultural technology extension was superficial and the coverage is narrow.Combined with the economic and agricultural development and the present situation of Nanlang Town Agricultural Service Center,the main reasons for the existence of these problems were analyzed,including:(1)the role of agricultural technology extension personnel was not fully aware of their own functions;(2)the technical level of the agricultural technology extension personnel was backward;(3)the agricultural technology extension funds were insufficient;(4)lack of effective performance assessment measures;(5)lack of new agricultural technology extension methods;(6)agricultural technology extension mode of operation was monotonous.In order to solve the problems existing in the agricultural technology extension of Nanlang Town in Zhongshan City,combined with the current situation of economic and social development in Nanlang Town,and the current situation of agricultural development and rural construction,the suggestions and countermeasures for the development of agricultural technology promotion in Nanlang Town were put forward:(1)to change the concept of Agricultural Technology Extension Service;(2)to adopt a diversified agricultural technology extension model;(3)to design Nanlang Town new agricultural technology promotion mode;(4)to take farmers as the base,broaden the field of Agricultural Technology Extension Service;(5)to establish the information service network of agricultural technology promotion;(6)to create a new agricultural technology extension service mechanism;(7)to improve the scientific and technological level of Agricultural Technology Extension personnel.
