With the ever-changing market environment,companies are faced with more and more uncertain factors,such as technological innovation,industry development trends,changes in customer preferences,suppliers' operating conditions,etc.,forcing companies to no longer fight alone,but to unite.Rely on the power of the members of the organization to form a network of relationships.For manufacturing companies,the network of relationships with suppliers and customers is very important.Through the connection with network members to obtain resources,enhance their capabilities,and lay a solid foundation for enterprises to win competitive advantage in a fierce competitive environment.Manufacturing enterprises are an indispensable and important industry in national economic development and the achievement of the industrialization goal of 2020.They play an invaluable role in promoting employment and economic development of residents.Therefore,improving the competitive advantage of manufacturing companies is of great significance to the development of China's economy and manufacturing industry.The economic development in various regions of China is in a state of severe imbalance.As the largest western region in China,the economic situation is lagging behind,especially in the economic base,advanced technology,and human resources.However,the western region has a wealth of natural resources,geographical features,infrastructure and other advantages.In order to help the western region to develop its economy and make full use of the advantages of the region,the Central Committee pointed out at the meeting that it is necessary to steadily push forward the development of the western region and emphasizes that we must give top priority to the development of the western region in the coordinated development of our region.Therefore,to help the western region to develop the economic situation,that is,to enhance the competitiveness of Western companies,is an issue that China urgently needs to consider.Based on the above background,the study is to enhance the competitive advantage of the western manufacturing industry.Through analysis,it is found out that the enterprise must rely on the social network to achieve the goal.Therefore,this study mainly studies the influence of the enterprise's vertical social capital on the competitive advantage,and at the same time introduces the resource acquisition ability as an intermediary.Variables,along the logic of “Corporate Vertical Social Capital—Capacity of Resource Acquisition—Corporate Competitive Advantage”,analyze the intrinsic mechanism of action among these three elements,and obtain the following main conclusions: the relationship between business and suppliers and customer relationship the competitive advantage has a positive influence;the relationship density between the company and the supplier and the customer relationship density negatively influence the competitive advantage;the resource acquisition ability has a positive impact on the competitive advantage;the relationship density between the company and the supplier and the customer relationship density negatively affect the resource acquisition ability;the ability to acquire resources plays an intermediary role in the relationship between business and supplier relationships and customer relationships.For the above research conclusions,this study analyzes and explains,and then based on these conclusions,it gives suggestions on how to strengthen supplier relationships,strengthen customer relationships,and improve resource acquisition capabilities.It is hoped that these countermeasures will make it possible for Western manufacturing companies or other companies to enhance their competitive advantage.
