Development And Evaluation Study Of Modern Service Industry

With the development of science and technology and society,the knowledge intensive business service,which has been subjected to the governments of various countries or regions and related departments for its high-tech,high-knowledge,emerging nature,and extensiveness characteristics,has been used to measure economic development of a country or region as a kind of criterion judged.There has been an important part of economic policy extensive and significant emphasis on development of the knowledge intensive business service.Therefore,knowledge intensive business service emphasized development has become an urgent matter for country or region the moment.I have done such works:Based on literature research,the paper had been constructed a comprehensive evaluation system for modern service industry set index general principles and combined characteristics of modern service industry from growth ability of modern service industry,service industry development basis,and degree of social contribution three modules.Based on this,a comprehensive index system of assessment on modern service industry including one first-level indicator,three second-level indicators and 47 third-level indicators was constructed.Selected relevant data from 30 provinces,municipalities and autonomous regions across the country,the development foundation of service industry and social contribution was regarded as the mark growth ability of modern service industry.Based on the characteristics of the data,a principal component analysis method was chose to comprehensively evaluate the modern service industry’s growth abilities,development of service industry foundations,and social contributions on the 30 provinces,municipalities and autonomous regions.According to the comprehensive scores of the principal components,a comprehensive ranking was obtained,and the important influence factors affected the knowledge intensive business service development was selected.Then,method of the random forest regression was applied to construct regression model of factors affected growth ability of modern service industry.Based on analysis model,considering retail sales per capita social consumer goods,value added in service industries,output value per capita service industry,per capita wholesale and retail trade,patent applications,total circulation of public libraries,proportion of service employees,per capita deposits in financial institutions and foreign currencies eight comprehensive variables from the model of assesses system was more important influence variables than others.The same as results were achieved at using partial least squares regression model for validation.Comparing the random forest model with the partial least squares model,it found that random forest model has better fitting accuracy.Therefore,the factors that influence the growth ability of the modern service industry using the random forest model under the multi-index small sample environment are considered.It is more suitable for analysis.
