Research On Improving The Consumer Price Index System Of Our Country

At present,under the rapid development of China's economy,although the consumer price index released by the bureau of statistics to some extent can reflect the influence to residents' consumption level caused by the price changes,with the improvement of residents' consumption level,the change of consumption structure and the amplification of income gap,the data of CPI released by the government is not in agreement with the residents' realities.Most of the people can generally feel the burden of life caused by inflation of prices.Especially in the environment of market economy,the income gap between China's urban and rural areas,Eastern and Western Regions,is becoming bigger and bigger.The current consumer price index only reflects the average level of consumption,but can not reflect the actual feeling of each income bracket due to the price changes.The average of the consumer price index covered the effect on different income bracket caused by the price changes.On the basis of current consumer price index,it is necessary to work out the consumer price index in different level according to the income level,especially low-income consumer price index to protect social stability.This paper,through the study of China's current consumer price index compilation method,pointed out the problem with China's consumer price index,and also discussed how to work out the low-income consumer price index on the basis of consumer price index at home and abroad.According to the domestic and foreign research results on the topic,the CPI compiling method our country,the advanced experience at home and abroad and the actual consumption situation of low income groups,this paper tried to find out some ways to improve China's current CPI compiling method and the CPI system,so that the CPI compilation method can meet the reality of China's low income groups,enhance our quality of their lives,and promote the CPI compilation method.
