An Empirical Study On The Effect Of Agglomeration Of Producer Services On Manufacturing Efficiency

Since the development of producer services,many scholars have devoted themselves to studying the relationship between producer services and manufacturing.In the developing process of manufacturing,with the improvement of the division of labor,in order to further reduce the production costs,so there has been a service outsource that has further evolved into producer service industry so far.This article mainly studies the impact of the agglomeration of producer service on manufacturing efficiency from many aspects.Firstly,this paper uses the DEA method to obtain the manufacturing efficiency,taking the average annual employment of manufacturing workers and fixed assets investment as input variables,and the total output value of industry as output variable.This obtained manufacturing efficiency serves as an explanatory variable for subsequent research.The first part of the empirical study uses threshold regression model to study how the efficiency of manufacturing is changed as the degree of produce services agglomeration changes.As a result,two thresholds have been found.Due to the existence of the spillover effect of industries in different regions,in the second part of the empirical analysis,this paper studies the spillover effect of producer services agglomeration on the manufacturing efficiency through SDM,the result shows that both the space lag terms of the dependent variable and the independent variables are significant.That is to say,the change of dependent variable and independent variables will both influence the surrounding areas.SDM studies the spatial correlation of the impact of producer services agglomeration on manufacturing efficiency,because of the possible differences in the impact of producer services agglomeration on manufacturing efficiency in different regions,it is necessary to further study the spatial heterogeneity of the impact of producer services agglomeration on manufacturing efficiency.The third part of the empirical analysis further studies the spatial heterogeneity of productive service agglomeration on the efficiency of manufacturing through GWR model.It is found that the regression coefficients of explanatory variables in each region are significant and different.
