The Impact Of China-ASEAN Free Trade Agreement On The Export Of Enterprises

China-ASEAN Free Trade Area is the first free trade zone established by China.It is also the most populous free trade area in the world and is composed of developing countries.Its establishment not only helps to expand the scale of trade and investment between China and ASEAN,promote the development of their respective economies,but also effectively promote regional economic integration in East Asia,and play an active role in the growth of the world economy.China-ASEAN Free Trade Area plays an important role in China’s free trade area strategy.Based on the trade policy uncertainty,this thesis examines the impact of the China-ASEAN Free Trade Agreement on the export of enterprises.Trade policy uncertainty is a possible change in the future trade policy of a country or region.It will affect the company’s expected export profits by changing the trade environment,and thus affect the company’s decision on export volume.Based on the theoretical analysis of the trade effect of the free trade area and the overview of China-ASEAN Free Trade Area,this thesis uses the fixed effect model to empirically analyze the impact of free trade agreements on the export of enterprises from the perspective of the trade policy uncertainty.Free trade agreements can effectively reduce the trade policy uncertainty,and then have a significant positive impact on the export of enterprises.The greater the decline in the trade policy uncertainty,the greater the increase in enterprise exports.Judging from the dual margin of enterprise exports,the decline in the trade policy uncertainty will not only help increase the exports of existing products,but also help increase the level of specialization for the export of the enterprises.The positive role of the trade policy uncertainty in exports has,on the other hand,illustrated the importance of implementing free trade area strategy.China should make efforts to improve China-ASEAN Free Trade Area,further reduce the trade policy uncertainty with ASEAN and maintain it at a low level.In addition,actively implement the free trade area strategy,effectively reduce the trade policy uncertainty between China and more countries,and guide enterprises to form the correct expectation of the trade policy uncertainty by strengthening propaganda,and then fully realize the trade creation effect of the free trade area.
