In an interview,Wang Jianlin said that we could first set a small goal to earn a one hundred million.Then his word talked about all over the internet.In 2018,Lei Jun,the founder of millet,cried out a new slogan:in the coming year,even sleeping is a waste of time.However,compared to those entrepreneurs with ambitious and in high vigorous spirits,most office workers have to face with long-term overtime work,work and income mismatched,tremendous work pressure and other problems.One of the most serious problem is that employees work day after day,their feeling were wearing off,they lose interest in their job.Therefore,office workers’ health problem and work burnout have become a great challenge that supervisors must face with.Recently,thriving has been proposed that can reduce the medical care cost and negative to work burnout.Hence,more and more scholars start to pay attention to it.However,at present,most of the research on thriving is about thriving at work,few studies are involved in other fields.In fact,either work or nonwork sources can contribute a lot to employee thriving.This study takes a conservation of resources perspective to present a model of how to thriving at work and family collectively.In order to make up for the gap in the field of thriving at home,this study explores the formation mechanism of thriving at work and home,trying to explain how to achieve individual thriving more systematically to allow employee perform better in the field of work and family.This dissertation introduces work-family enrichment to explain the relationship between workplace friendships and thriving at home,and the relationship between family social support and thriving at work,proposes a mediation model.In addition,this study introduced work-family segmentation preference to explore the mechanism of workplace friendships and family social support boundary conditions.Firstly,we depict the definitions,measurements and researches of those variables,propose research hypotheses and theoretical models.Secondly,drawing on overseas scales,we conducted a questionnaire survey and collected data to analyze it.Finally,the results indicate that:(1)Workplace friendships has a significant positive effect on thriving at work and family.(2)Family social support has a significant positive effect on thriving at work and family.(3)Workplace friendships affects through work-family enrichment to thriving atfamily.(4)Family social support affects through family-work enrichment to thriving at work.(5)Work-family segmentation preference doesn’t play the moderating role in the relationship between family social support and family-work enrichment,but play the moderating role in the relationship between workplace friendships and work-family enrichment.According to the research results,we points out the contribution of this study,and gives several suggestions to business management practice.This research suggests that organizations should create a supportive working atmosphere for employees,provide more resources and encourage employees to actively use the resources around them to solve the problems encountered in the work.Finally we point out the shortages of the research and the research way in the future.
