Research On The Industrial Development Strategy Of Susu Industrial Park

As a relative and historical regional category,the less developed regions have been widely spread in the mid-west of China as well as the eastern provinces which are more developed,such as the northerm part of Jiangsu.Suqian is the youngest city affiliated to Jiangsu and also one of the least developed places in terms of economic development in China.Suzhou-suqian industrial park(SSIP)is one of the industrial parks mutually built by Suzhou(south of Jiangsu)and Suqian(north of Jiangsu)with the aim of narrowing the economical gap between the south and north cities and implementing the regional joint development strategy.After ten years of development and construction,the SSIP has become a successful model of Enclave Econon:tic Pattern.SSIP cloned the successful experience of Suzhou industrial park which boosted Suqian's economy effectively.SSIP also has several drawbacks in addition to great achievements,especially at the early stage of development,this park has no unique industrial positioning and development mode,low relevancy of the clustered enterprises,high dependance on outside help and little risk-resistance abilities.Therefore,it is imperative to study the development mode of the SSIP.This paper tries to explore the choices of industrial parks in the newly developed regions in the way of theories of industry cluster,global value chain,industrial life cycle from the view of industrial development.It also tries to analyze the problems of industrial parks in less developed region in the process of specialization which should be put emphasis and propose the development strategy of SSIP specifically.This paper first gives a introduction of the SSIP's historical evolution under the background of mutual development of industrial parks between south and north cities,pointing out the advantages of the mechanically innovations of SSIP.It also analyses current situation of Suqian and SSIP and the distinctive problems existing in the process of industrial development,making it clear that SSIP mode is in the early stage of industry cluster.Chapter ? analyzes the environment of industry development as well as the tendency and characteristics of industrial transfer both domestic and international and current situation of Chinese manufactures in the context of "made in China 2025".It also demonstrates the long-term strategies in the process of industrial development by SWOT after analyzing the opportunities and challenges,advantages and disadvantages.Chapter IV confirms the two main dominant industry after qualitative analysis by Industry Life Cycle Theory.It also proposes the two main development strategies and implementation measures of industry cluster and transformation and promotion of introduction of foreign capital by quoting the experiences from the surrounding industrial parks and analyzing the factors which may restrict the future of industrial parks.
