Photon counting technology has photon-level detection sensitivity,which has important applications in the field of laser radar detection.The paper studies the influence of the working parameters of photon counting lidar on the detection performance,and aims to provide a basis for the optimal design of photon counting lidar system parameters.Based on the data investigation,the paper summarizes the working principle of photon counting laser radar,and summarizes the statistical rules of noisy echo signals under Poisson conditions.The theoretical model of photon counting lidar is given.On this basis,according to the detection model of photon counting lidar,the Monte Carlo simulation algorithm of photon counting lidar detection process is designed,and the corresponding simulation program is written to realize the performance of laser radar under different working parameters.Through computer simulation,the variation law of laser radar detection rate,false alarm rate and ranging accuracy under different echo signals,different measurement counting times,different trigger modes and different pulse widths are obtained.Based on the theoretical calculation,the paper also established a photon counting laser radar experimental system,and studied the influence of optical attenuation on the detection performance under different working parameters.It is found that the proper introduction of attenuation under strong background noise working conditions can improve the detection performance of photon counting lidar,and there are optimal optical attenuation parameters,which provide the basis for optimal configuration of system parameters under different working conditions.The research results of the thesis have certain reference value for the optimization design of the working parameters of photon counting lidar system.
