Abstract/Summary:
The study of sparse arrays has been widely concerned for a long time.The reason is that sparse antenna arrays play an important role in the applications of satellite communication,radar,radio astronomy and microwave remote sensing for their advantages of simple structure,light weight,low cost and simple feed network.The technique of array optimization discussed in this paper is mainly on the premise of a given reference pattern.The FOCUSS algorithm is used to solve a problem of a set of equivalent undetermined equations about array synthesis by iteration.The solution is the position and excitation amplitude of the sparse array antenna.The optimization design of sparse array antenna is carried out based on the FOCUSS synthesis method.The main work and innovation points are summarized as the following:1.By understanding compressed sensing(CS)algorithm in the field of image and signal,we find out its relation about sparse array,then FOCUSS algorithm of sparse linear array and planar array is proposed.This method constructs a over sampled virtual homogeneous array by uniformly discretizing a given array aperture,and applies the CS theory to transform the above nonlinear array synthesis problem into a sparse signal reconstruction problem.The best thinning solution of the problem can be obtained by FOCUSS algorithm.The algorithm has a good effect on the sparsity of the linear array and the plane array.Besides,EPCS-FOCUSS algorithm of the two grid strategy is proposed,which is better than the FOCUSS algorithm.2.As for realizing multi-pattern with a sparse array,a method based on Multiple Measurement Vectors Collaborative Sparse Reconstruction(MMVCSR)is proposed.Sparse reconstruction problem about multi-pattern is set up by CS process,which can be solved by multiple measurement vector focuss(M-FOCUSS)to get the optimal array position and excitation.The simulation experiment shows the accuracy of the algorithm.3.MSM-FOCUSS algorithm is proposed to syhthesize wideband arrays.The algorithm benefits from the M-FOCUSS synthesis theory,which extends from the multi-measurement vector(MMV)scene to the multi-sense-matrix(MSM)to realize multi-frequency pattern with a sparse array.Besides,a MSM-M-FOCUSS is carried to achieve wideband multi-pattern sparse array synthesis with the combination of M-FOCUSS.
