Research On The Online Warning And Monitoring System Of Urban Culvert Water

To cope with the threat of urban water logging under extreme weather conditions,this paper built a culvert water online early warning system,to avoid accidents and losses leaded by extreme weather conditions,and monitor road conditions.The TMS320 DM642 DSP is chosen as the hardware platform,and base on that,we designed the water level image processing algorithm.On water-level measurement,this paper proposed a method that gather water gauge image through camera and identify water level with image processing algorithm.The system mainly includesfour modules:image acquisition,image processing,early warning and control center.In image acquisition module,we used filter algorithm for image preprocessing and segmentation correction for interested areas.In image processing module,we used Sobel edge detection,k-means clustering analysis to acquire water level effectively.In early warning module,we set the water level warning value and the historical records,display warning information through electronic screen.In control center module,we designedcontrol software based on PC,manage and integrate information of each subsystem and store the records.The system is low-cost for maintenance,not susceptible to external interference such as water quality and temperature and easy to install and maintain.
