Flow field plays a very important role in scientific computing and engineering analysis.Flow field visualization is a powerful tool for understanding variation in the flow field sports,which plays an important role in scientific computing,engineering analysis,education and other fields of science,and has important practical significance and research value.In the field of educational technology,the flow field can be used to describe many important and common physical phenomena,for example,the movement of ocean currents,flow,flow through a pipe or barriers to the movement,etc,and,through the study,intuitive teaching material can make it easier for students to understand course content,and,pictures of skills often better than words,moreover,for those contents which the motion and the motion process is needed to present,such as Global movement of Ocean Currents,pictures are still deficiency.This topic is not only able to generate an image of each frame of the flow field,but also able to simulate the dynamic process of the flow field.Through the study of the existing flow visualization techniques,this article expand visualization technique of flow field without border to visualization technique of flow field with border and surface flow field.Algorithm in this article applies to both steady and non-steady flow visualization.The major contributions of this paper are:1.Construct single-frame image flow field.Over the time,flow field will be removed from the visualization window,to avoid this situation,background noise image is needs to be mixed in when the flow field structure of each frame image.Different background noise image is needed to be integrated in flow field at different times,and those background images have variation.According to the flow field,the corresponding texture image and the background noise image,each frame flow field image is constructed using technique of texture mapping and texture fusion,then draw the image using OpenGL and display the dynamic effect of flow field.2.We present an algorithm of visualization of flow field with boundary.This algorithm is the extension of flow visualization without boundary.First,determine the visualization boundary by the boundary curve,then,adjust the velocity vector on the grid point of the boundary,and adjust the velocity vector inside and outside the scope of the grid.Grid velocity vector field corresponding current time is generated.Using texture mapping technology,and integration with the corresponding background noise image,the current frame image of flow field with boundary is constructed.Dynamic process is displayed with each ordered frame images.3.We present an algorithm of visualization of surface flow field.Planar texture is used to visualize surface flow field,so,it is necessary to calculate the corresponding position on the plane grid of surface mesh vertex.In calculating the mapping relationship,we employ a grid sphere as parameter sphere,in terms of direct parameterization,this method not only ensure a smaller deformation,but also improve the time complexity of the algorithm to some extent.After getting to the mapping between the surface and the plane,according to the corresponding flow field,the texture image and the background noise image,each frame surface flow field is built,further,dynamic process is presented.
