Childhood is an eternal memory in everyone’s heart,and it has increasingly become an important resource.Western childhood sociologists regard childhood as the same element as class,gender,etc.They also regard childhood as a structural form that is both constantly changing and eternal.In recent years,the education session has set off a wave of research on childhood.In the author’s opinion,childhood toys are not only material materials for children’s games,but also have richer symbolic meaning and carry more culture.This paper mainly studies the childhood toy culture of three generations and the changes of toy culture.It selects three generations of Chinese born in the 70 s,90s,and 10 s as interview subjects for open and in-depth interviews,and conducts research through the working methods of grounded theory.First,this paper summarizes the substantive theories of childhood toy culture of three generations through coding step by step,and explains the elements and characteristics of childhood toy culture in different generations.Secondly,by comparing the changes in childhood toy culture of the three generations,it was found that the changes in toy culture are mainly manifested in: the value of toy symbols,the space-time conditions of toy culture,and the tension of children ’s toy culture construction,and then applied the interpretive reconstruction theory of new childhood sociology Model: The round spider web model analyzes the cause.Thirdly,in the conclusion,the characteristics of the three generations’ childhood toy culture are analyzed,and the common characteristics of the three generations’ childhood toy culture are: the culture with children as the main body that values the process and experience which is creative poetic and original repeating culture.The functional attribute of children’s toy culture is to allow children to adapt to the way children exist and form a social self.For adults,it is the back feed of childhood culture.This papper discusses the essence of children’s toys at the level of facts and values,and proposes at the proper level: the essential function of children’s toys is to realize the essential spirit of the game,children’s toys can cause aesthetics,and children’s toys are children’s.At last,this paper puts forward relevant suggestions for the practice of children ’s toys from a proper level,and looks forward to using field investigations and other methods to collect more first-hand data in the subsequent academic work to test and enrich the research of childhood toy culture.
