The promulgation of the information technology curriculum standards for general high schools(2017 edition)marks the beginning of a new round of information technology curriculum reform.The new curriculum requires the cultivation of citizens with information consciousness,computational thinking,digital learning and innovation,and information society responsibility.It also undoubtedly places higher requirements on the teaching of information technology courses.Traditional teaching methods are difficult to meet the needs of the new curriculum standards.This paper proposes to apply a new teaching model—PAD class to high school information technology teaching.The core idea of PAD class is to allocate half of the class time to the teacher,and the other half of the time is for students to discuss and operate.It plays an effective role in cultivating students' independent learning and inspiring innovative thinking,and is suitable for teachers and students in different academic stages and different disciplines.First of all,the paper analyzes the current situation of information technology classrooms in senior high schools,and concludes the feasibility of implementing PAD class.Then,the teaching model and teaching design of information technology teaching using PAD class are given,and it is actually used in the information technology course practice of a middle school in Mudanjiang.Finally,by observing the changes in student's practical skills and learning effects of information technology before and after the experiment,the effectiveness and impact of PAD class on improving students' practical ability and information literacy are analyzed.The results show that the application of the "PAD class" teaching model in high school information technology courses is conducive to enhancing students' computational thinking ability,cultivating students' autonomous learning ability,improving students' information literacy,and meeting the new curriculum standards.
