Research On Home Economics Education At Women's University In Japan

Home economics education is based on the management of family affairs and family relationships.It guides people in all areas of life such as food,clothing,housing,and so on.It pays attention to the relationship between people and nature with society from both material and spiritual aspects.It promotes the improvement of family life quality and social harmony.Home economics education plays a unique value to the development of individuals,families and society.However,due to the diverse social cultures and different levels of education in various countries and regions,the degrees of development of home economics education are varying as well.Japan established the discipline status of home economics education in higher education in 1947.Since then,home economics education has continued to advance in the interweaving of tradition and change,forming a unique system of higher home economics education in Japan.This study took home economics education of Japanese women's universities as the research object,and used literature research and comparative research methods to deeply explore the history and current situation of home economics education of Japanese women's universities.After seventy years of continuous reforms since the Second World War,a relatively mature home economics education system has been established in Japanese women's universities.Japanese women's universities have established diverse home economics education faculties,set up training objectives that take into account the different parts' needs of multiple subjects,provided various types of home economic education contents,cultivated the workers of home economics with comprehensive qualities.The home economics education faculties have selected qualified students through a strict entrance examination system.The schools have set up plural subjects and courses,hired high professional title and high degree teachers with multi-disciplinary backgrounds,used a variety of teaching methods in the teaching process to promote the quality of home economics education.Home economics education of Japanese women's universities helps students master the knowledge and skills related to the family,improve their living ability,guide them to build a happy family,and participate in social construction and promote the harmonious development of society by cultivating home economics talents who meet social needs.Through the research on the home economics education of Japanese women's universities,we found that Japanese women's universities pay attention to the adjustment of the structure and content of higher-level home economics education in line with the needs of social development,and attach importance to theoretical research to ensure the effect of home economics education.At the same time,we recognize that Chinese society has been influenced by the concept of "homeland isomorphism" where families play an extremely important role in the functioning of society,and the demand for home economics talents is urgent.Therefore,Chinese home economics education system needs to be established,and local higher home economics education should become an important part of educational development.First of all,China should amplify the prominence of home economics education.Secondly,we should set up home economics majors and courses in college,and formulate professional training objectives that meet social needs to train a large number of home economics talents.Thirdly,China should establish colleges and universities to provide home economics education in certain highly developed regions.Finally,China should establish a national research organization for home economics,in order to promote the development of home economics education through teaching and research.Through the above measures,we will promote the development of higher home economics education and lay a solid foundation of home economics talents for the harmonious and stable development of socialism with Chinese characteristics.
