The video games rooted in China in the late 1980s,the freshness of the game consoles to invigorate people's lives,the youth-dominated group of players began to generate.In addition to enjoying the pleasure of video games,there is a series of social problems,teen game addiction,violent crime has become the main picture of the game field.As a result,video games encountered a collective boycott and got into the cold winter.With the opening and pluralism of politics,economy and culture,video games appear in the public eye again with a new image.The emergence of E-sports make video games gradually get rid of the negative label of "electronic heroin",public opinion began to focus on the positive value of video games,the game industry prospects seem to be bright.However,the prosperity of the game industry put the problem of game addiction in front of the public again,in the face of an increasingly large group of players,the phenomenon of teenagers indulging in games is becoming more and more serious.At the second meeting of the 13th session of the National People's Congress in March 2019,it was proposed to promote the supervision of online games and reduce the frequency of vicious incidents in society.In the process of video games becoming the"Nineth art",many problems behind them become a stumbling block on the road of"proper name".30 years of floating,China's video games experienced collective resistance,and now access to a certain degree of public opinion recognition,its image label changes.On the one hand,video games have indeed implemented scientific,professional reform,and the current development trend is favourable.On the other hand,the phenomenon of youth game addiction is serious,it is urgent to be solved.Facing the development of video game in contradiction,there is theoretical and practical significance to study the presentation,vicissitude and genesis of its media image.As the continuous innovation and development,video games have produced great changes,showing a variety of social characteristics.Because the academic circles seldom study the change of video games,so this study is based on the relevant reports of the People's Daily,and expounds its changes through text interpretation.The study found that in the development process of video games,there are five media images,including the market promoter,cultural derivatives,emotional bonding,the corrosive person of thought and wild deviant.In the process of vicissitude,video games show two paths of transformation.Firstly,the role change from "electronic heroin"to "nineth art",including from the centralization of negative images to the presentation of multiple images,from the emphasis on dangerous attributes to the emphasis on functional attributes;Secondly,the behavior changes from the self-discipline to heteronomy,including from piracy to the establishment of genuine mechanism,from pastime to entertainment parallelism,from relying on the introduction to independent development.The change of media image of video game is influenced by the society,media and audience.Video games promote social development,the multiple effects promote social vitality,but at the same time it aggravates the deeper contradictions.The media,society and the public should treat the image of video games in a more rational attitude and avoid the misconceptions caused by exaggerating values and stereotypes.This article mainly includes five parts.The introduction expounds the background,the summary of domestic and foreign research,the research significance,the research method and innovation.The second chapter defines the concept of video game,summarize its development course,and analyze the sample.The third chapter combines the analysis results with the specific text,presents the specific media images of video game.The fourth chapter analyzes the change of video game media image.The fifth chapter expounds the causes of the change of video game media image from society,media and audience.The conclusion summarizes the above research problems,deeply reflects on many problems existing in the process of change of the video game media image,and puts forward the optimization strategy to reshape the media image of video game,so that the video game presents a more comprehensive and objective media image.
