At present, more and more attention has been paid to the problem-solving aspect in domestic mathematics research, but most of the research only reflects the problem-solving aspect, and few studies are related to the specific content of mathematics teaching. Our primary school students do have the problem of weak problem-solving ability.Teachers also have some deficiencies in the cultivation of students. Therefore,it is of practical significance to discuss and study the strategies of problem-solving ability cultivation in primary school mathematics equation teaching. This study explains the purpose and significance of the research.According to previous studies, the research is divided into three aspects:the research on the teaching ideas of elementary equation, the research on problem solving and the research on mathematical problem solving. It also defines three concepts which are easy to cause ambiguity in this study, including problem solving, problem solving ability and equation. In the course of the study, questionnaire survey and interview are mainly used to collect data from students and teachers. The three theoretical foundations of this research are:Problem Solving theory,Freudenthal's Mathematics Teaching theory and Information Processing theory. On this basis,a questionnaire and a test paper were designed for the sixth grade students of Xi'an S Primary School, and an interview outline was designed for the teachers of the school. The current situation of cultivating students'problem-solving ability in equation teaching of S Primary School was generally understood. It concludes that there are some problems in practical teaching, such as the deviation of situation understanding of equation problems;the single method of equation analysis;the difficulty of students'transition from arithmetic to equation;and the inadequate cultivation of reflective habits.Based on the theoretical basis, the reasons for this are neglect of explicit problem-raising strategies, weak additional information in question-raising prompts, weak ability to analyze problems caused by relying on teachers'understanding,deep-rooted students'arithmetic thinking, and lack of cultivation of reflective habits.According to the survey, the author summarizes the current problems and analyses their causes, and puts forward some suggestions on how to cultivate students'problem-solving ability in the teaching of mathematical equation in primary schools.Suggestion strategies are mainly developed from four dimensions:textbooks, classroom teaching, teachers and students. The contents include:promoting the improvement of students'ability to ask questions;cultivating problem-solving ability runs through equation teaching;constructing effective equation teaching to enhance students'ability to solve practical problems;and forming good equation learning habits in cultivating students'ability to reflect and evaluate.
