It is the spiritual pursuit that Exercise one hour every day,healthy work for 50 years,happy life for a lifetime for every employee.On May 15,2015,the all-china federation of trade unions issued the five-year plan for the national quality construction project for employees(2015-2019),which proposed to carry out regular recreational and sports activities for employees.The national fitness implementation plan of Shandong province(2016-2020)formulated in 2016 requires the promotion of employee fitness plan,which shows that the promotion of employee sports work is imperative.Staff sports includes two types: centralized type and dispersive type.Centralized type refers to a type of collective sports organized in the industry units,enterprises,organizations,groups and other units to gather the workers to participate in a unified way.Compared with the dispersive sports,the centralized sports can enhance the cohesion and organizational identity among teachers and form a good working and learning atmosphere.The current university teachers’ job involvement is not optimistic,in part due to heavy teaching tasks,increasing work pressure,decreasing in vitality of teachers’ work,reduction in the collective sense of honor,and the lack of dedication.Teachers’ work concentration decreases accordingly,and the phenomenon of job burnout becomes increasingly prominent.How to improve the teachers’ job involvement and create better performance has become an important research topic.At present,the research on staff sports focuses on aspects of the status quo,management,development,activities,culture and role,while there are few articles dedicated to the study of centralized staff sports,and fewer articles combining the centralized staff sports with job involvement.To this end,this study adopts methods of literature review,interview,questionnaire survey and mathematical statistics,and conduct a survey on teachers in 18 colleges and universities in Shandong Province employing the job involvement scale as the measure.Firstly,the analysis for the current situation of centralized staff sports in colleges and universities is carried out;Secondly,the current situation of teachers’ job involvement is analyzed.And finally,whether the factors including the number of activities,types of activities,organizational departments,organizational methods,frequency of activities,enthusiasm for participation,duration and organizational size,have significant effects on teachers’ job involvement is explored.Followings are the research results.1.There was a significant difference in teachers’ job involvement between those who participated in concentrated employee physical education and those who did not(P<0.05).2.The types of concentrated employee sports in colleges and universities are mainly competitive activities.Teachers mainly participate in the activities organized by school departments.There are 35.1% of schools which hold staff sports twice a year,and most of them last for 5 to 6 days with 100-200 workers to take part in.3.In terms of demographic variables,the average score of job involvement for male is higher than that of female;Teachers aged less than or equal to 35 have higher average scores in job involvement.Teachers with lower professional titles have higher average scores of job involvement;The mean scores of job involvement of teachers with shorter teaching years and those with longer teaching years were higher.4.The dimensions of measuring the participation of centralized staff sports for Shandong university teachers include: number of activities,the types of activities,the organization department,holding way,frequency,activity times,participation motivation,duration,and organization size.Except for the organization size,significant effect of teachers’ work commitment was found in other factors(p < 0.05).The conclusions of this study described as follows.1.There is a significant effect of the frequency of centralized employee physical education on teachers’ job involvement,and as the frequency of centralized employee physical education increases,teachers’ job involvement increases.2.There is a significant effect of teachers’ enthusiasm for participating in centralized employee sports on their job involvement,and teachers’ job involvement increases with the increasing of their enthusiasm for participating in centralized employee sports.3.There was a significant effect of the duration of centralized employee physical education on teachers’ job involvement,and teachers’ job involvement increases with the increasing in the duration of centralized employee physical education.4.There is no significant effect of the organizational scale of centralized employee physical education in teachers’ job involvement.
