| Competitive swimming has obvious regional characteristics,and what are the characteristics of its development and changes as well as the influencing factors are worth paying attention to.Competitive swimming has become one of the most competitive sports in the Olympic Games,and different continents and countries have their own advantages.China’s competitive swimming events are in a state of continuous development,and there are still many deficiencies.The development progress of competitive swimming events has a direct impact on whether China can quickly achieve the Olympic glory plan,and the level of competitive strength of China’s swimming events needs to be improved.In this paper,using the literature material method,mathematical statistics,logic reasoning method,comparison analysis method,video observation to the 23rd-31 Olympic Games medal table as the research object,with international and national competitive swimming project and swimming gold medal advantages national characteristics were analyzed,and the analysis of the different swimming single edge region,discusses the advantages and disadvantages of pit area distribution and swim world powers and characteristics of the change.This paper reviews and systematically analyzes the swimming competitions of the Olympic Games,probes into the development rules and characteristics of competitive swimming in the world,and provides the corresponding theoretical basis for the research and formulation of the long-term development strategy of competitive swimming in China.The study came to the following conclusions:1.Intercontinental: the performance of competitive strength is not balanced between continents.In general,the overall strength ranking of each continent is Europe>North America>Oceania>Asia>Africa.There are many participating countries in Europe,and the overall strength level is relatively high.The strength of some established powers is strong,and the strength of swimming events is relatively balanced.North America is supported by the United States alone;Oceania is supported by Australia,whose level of competitive strength is no better than that of Asia.Africa has the fewest participating countries.Overall,its strength is weak and there is still much room for improvement.2.Between countries: the United States is strong,swimming position is solid,since it stepped into the Olympic gate,to stand in the championship posture on the field;In recent years,Australia has been in the stage of replacement of new and old reserve personnel.Although the level of competitive strength has decreased compared with the past,its swimming deposits are deep and there are still many shining points.Since the achievement of swimming events,China has been in the weak trend of women’s strength and men’s weakness.In recent years,Chinese men’s swimming has made a breakthrough in long-distance freestyle events,gradually breaking the trend of Yin rising and Yang declining.The Japanese men’s swimming event strength is strong,has own superiority project;South Korea’s swimming program in the disadvantaged areas,but also medal income;Russia has always been in the second group;Germany and France wield power unevenly;Hungary and the Netherlands have been big winners in swimming.South Africa and Zimbabwe led the rise of African nations,but the small number of gold MEDALS is not yet threatening the world swimming landscape.3.Advantage items: more and more countries and people compete in the world swimming arena,and the competition is increasingly fierce.The overall strength of the U.S.team is strong,maintaining a clear advantage in almost all swimming disciplines.The development of male and female events is not balanced.The key advantage events of the Chinese team are women’s short distance freestyle,short distance backstroke,relay events,butterfly and men’s medium and long distance freestyle.Australia has shown strength in freestyle,butterfly and relay.Germany and Italy showed certain advantages in the freestyle events;Hungary,Ukraine and Ireland showed clear advantages in the medley.Britain has won MEDALS in the backstroke,and some African nations are putting their breakthrough events in the butterfly and medley.4.The reasons for the change of regional pattern of competitive swimming strength mainly involve five aspects,including natural environment,social foundation,political system,economic conditions and sports factors.Five factors influence and restrict each other,which promote the formation of regional pattern of competitive swimming strength and lead the evolution of regional pattern of competitive swimming strength in the future.5.The development process of competitive swimming in China can be divided into three stages: the embryonic stage,the declining stage and the development stage.The overall development path is bumpy,with highs and lows.Athletic swimming in China should pay much attention to the cultivation of backup talents,enrich the coaches,optimize the quality of the coaches,and increasing the number of swimming venues and other infrastructure construction,expand the scale of training and competition,foreign exchange,the rich scientific research strength,increasing competitive swimming project funds accounted for the proportion of competitive sports,etc.Maintain our swimming advantage,develop our swimming potential advantage and break through our swimming weakness.In the advantageous project,strengthens to its reserve talented person’s selection and the training,prevents appears the outstanding talented person fault phenomenon;To the latent advantage project,must formulate the positive plan,unifuses with our country actual situation,develops steadily;To weak
