| Spatial preference refers to the value judgment of individual’s spatial attraction and choice in order to alleviate psychological anxiety and produce psychological identity.Classroom space preference is students’choice of classroom seats.Students’ academic performance is influenced by many variables.Classroom space is the main place where students learn knowledge and interact with teachers.It has an important impact on students’ academic performance.In the classroom space environment,teachers,students,environment and task attributes are the main factors affecting students’ reference for classroom space.The purpose of this study is to explore the relationship between College Students’classroom spatial preference and academic performance.The main purpose of this study is to explore the relationship between College Students’classroom space preference and academic performance,and further explore the relationship between College Students’ classroom space preference and their academic performance at the individual level.The research adopts the method of combining quantitative and qualitative research,using the self-designed questionnaire of College Students’classroom space preference as the measuring tool,stratified sampling method is adopted for the social work,computer science and technology,environmental engineering and art majors of Anqing Normal University.880 questionnaires are distributed and 789 valid questionnaires are recovered.The study consists of two parts:research one explores the influence of different factors on College Students’classroom space preference and the relationship between College Students’ classroom space preference and academic achievement from the empirical level through the revision and measurement of the questionnaire on College Students’classroom space preference;study two explores the relationship between students’ classroom space preference and academic achievement from the individual level by extracting representative cases.The mode and mechanism of performance interaction.The study found that:1.There are differences in gender,academic achievement,grade and specialty in college students’preference for classroom space,in which male and female students show different distribution of preference for classroom space.In classroom space,female students tend to be in the front and left middle areas,while male students tend to be in the right and back areas.2.Teachers,environment,students and task attributes are significantly correlated with college students’classroom space preference,among which,teachers’ personality charm has the most significant impact on College Students’classroom space preference.3.Classroom spatial preference is correlated with academic performance,and students’academic performance shows good or bad under different classroom spatial preferences.Among them,high-achievers mainly concentrate in the front and left-middle areas,middle-achievers mainly concentrate in the front,left-middle and back areas,and low-achievers mainly concentrate in the front and left-middle areas.4.In the process of classroom teaching,there are active teaching areas.Around the location of teachers,students are concentrated in the front,left and middle areas of classroom space. |
