"Textbooks compiled by the Ministry of Education"Chinese textbooks in junior middle school has improved the status of the unit of"masterpiece reading guidance".This paper analyses the general situation of the teaching of"leading reading of famous works"in the"department edited"junior middle school Chinese textbook from three parts:the content and characteristics of the selected edition,the content and characteristics of the structure,and the teaching basis,so as to lay a foundation for the following research."Guide to masterpieces"is an important teaching task in junior middle school.For junior middle school students,"guide" is the bridge and link between junior middle school students and masterpieces.However,due to the limited cognitive ability of junior high school students,it is difficult to understand literary works which are far away from their age.The purpose of setting up the unit of"masterpiece guide"in the textbook of"Textbooks compiled by the Ministry of Education"is to make full use of this unit to help students learn masterpieces and understand the significance of masterpieces.The research chooses H school in Xicheng District of Beijing as a case,and conducts an on-the-spot investigation on the current situation of the teaching of classics reading in this school by using the methods of questionnaire,interview and case analysis.The study finds that school H has made some achievements in the teaching of classics reading,which is manifested in its rich subject activities of"classics guidance",its emphasis on the extension of"classics guidance"teaching,and its emphasis on the collation of reading notes.However,there are some problems in the teaching of"masterpiece guidance"in H school,including teachers'inadequate ability in the teaching of"masterpiece guidance",teachers'lack of novelty in the teaching process,students' low interest in reading,teachers'lack of reading guidance to students,and so on.The main reasons for the above problems are the limited ability of teachers in H school,the single teaching form of teachers,the strong test-taking purpose of students and teachers,and the insufficient attention paid to the"masterpiece guidance"and so on.Based on the above analysis,the study puts forward corresponding teaching improvement strategies,that is,teachers should improve their own abilities;teachers should take students as the main body in teaching,respect students'experience;teachers should adjust the teaching mode in time.In order to further implement these strategies,with the help of practical teachers,the author finds some shortcomings through the practice of"Water Margin"as a"masterpiece guide”course,and puts forward some modification methods in the three aspects of teaching objectives,students'interest in reading and teaching methods.
