Nowadays,most of the scholars around the world are beginning to pay more attention to the cultivation of scientific spirits,some of themare concentrated onthe aspect of the mathematicalspirits,but this kind ofstudies about mathematicalspirits areinsufficient enough,especially in the education of middle school students in China.As developingskeptical and exploring spirits will affect the cultivation of students' mathematicalspirits as well as the direction of mathematicaleducation,as a teacher,we need toattach great importance to the development of these two spiritsfor high school students,also we would like to find a practical strategy which is feasible to the development of these spirits.This paper is divided into four parts.In Chapter 1,we mainly expound the background and the purpose of the research on developing students' skeptical and exploring spirits in high school mathematics teaching,meanwhile analyse the status of the spirit to determine the research content of this paper.In Chapter 2,welearn about the theoretical basis of the mathematical spirit,analyze the connotation of the mathematical spirit,and determine the importance of skeptical and exploring spirits.In Chapter 3,we cultivate the skeptical and exploring spirit by setting up problems,creating situations,and incorporating mathematics into the lectures,then select functional and geometric questions to specify strategiesin the new lectures.In Chapter 4,we are discussing about the training strategy in the exercising classes,combiningthe examples with muti-solutions to develop students' skeptical and exploring spirits.
