The professional development of teachers is an essential part of the education system,not only relates to the teachers' occupation ability and occupation accomplishment,thus affecting the quality of teaching,and ultimately affect the level of students,but also about the teachers' personal ideological cultivation and growth promotion.A lot of factors affecting teachers' professional development,for example,education policy,teaching environment,capital investment,the capacity of individual teachers,but the head of the school as a leader and conductor of education in the professional development of teachers plays a vital role,Which is determined by the role of the principal's position.For the principal in the professional development of teachers in the positioning:2013 Ministry of Education issued the "compulsory education school principals professional standards" clearly put forward principals is the first professional responsibility for the development of teachers;In 2014,the Ministry of Education announced the "compulsory education school management standards(Trial)",clearly requires schools to establish professional support system for teachers.In this study,the principal is both the subject of the study and the object of the study.From the subject,the principal as the first responsible person,should play a role in the professional development of teachers;from the object,the principal how to play this role.At present,the domestic research on this area,although there are some achievements,but there are still insufficient.In order to collect the real first-line data,this study uses field research methods,found in the S school's stay,the school's principals are more to show the role of a supporter:To analyze the needs of teachers'professional development;Identify the responsibility of the principal;good guarantee for the training of teachers in the school;guide the development direction of school teachers;create an atmosphere of up;take warm heart action.Whether it is to study the principal or research on teachers,all cannot do without thinking of their environment.Therefore the analysis of supportive behavior of the principals in the S school and the school measures found:First,the efforts of the principal are intertwined with the school's measures,and the support of the principal makes the school-level measures more effective;Second,Professional development of the effective test of the same ability and level of the principal;Third,the face of teacher professional burnout on the challenges of professional development of teachers,principals can also make a difference.Through the above research and thinking,for the principals how to support the professional development of teachers,this study suggests that:First of all,the principal should have the ideological and professional qualities that match his role orientation;Secondly,the face of busy daily work,the way of the cooperation;The Last one,the headmaster can take into account the comprehensive strategy,not only from the now more biased development of teachers in the professional knowledge,skills,but also from the teacher's motivation,the school's internal and external environment,In the management of teachers to establish a sense of service and other four aspects of support.
