At present, the maker education based on robots has been widely carried out in primary and secondary schools. The purpose is to strengthen the students' knowledge of the field and allow students to actively participate in and experience teaching activities, and then developing students' innovative thinking, however, innovative thinking and computational thinking are closely related and inseparable, the cultivation of the two is mutually reinforcing and complements each other. This is precisely the reason why our country regards the cultivation of talents with computational thinking as the main task for the construction of the innovative scientific and technical talents team. Therefore, this kind of maker education can be as a good way to develop students' computational thinking ability in primary school.Engagement is a prerequisite for the occurrence of learning, the results obtained by learning are closely related to the degree of students'engagement and how to participate. The students' engagement degree also has an important influence on the development of their thinking ability. In view of this, this thesis carries out the teaching of primary school robotics courses and studies students'engagement degree in the programming teaching for computational thinking. This research summarizes the research status of students' learning engagement and engagement measurement tools at home and abroad, and the research status of teaching practices for computational thinking, and focuses on the research results of the development of students' computational thinking in the programming teaching in primary and secondary schools at home and abroad.According to the background and research results related to the topic,it is found that the robot programming course teaching for computational thinking in primary and secondary schools is less concerned with studies on students' engagement degree. Thus, focuses on the core issues studied in this thesis:Integrating the concept of computational thinking into designs of robotics courses learning in primary school, and studying the influence of these designs on students' engagement degree.Among them, the survey of students' engagement degree in courses learning needs to design effective measurement tools and draw conclusions related to research issues through statistics, analysis, and summary.Based on making clear issues to be studied, this thesis collates the theoretical frameworks that supports the research, namely, the theory of constructionism, experiential teaching theory, and concepts related to computational thinking and students' engagement degree. In addition,it also summarizes the role and advantages of programmable education robots in promoting students' engagement degree and developing students' computational thinking, based on this, the design of robotics courses learning in primary school that promotes students' engagement degree is studied. The first is the content design of courses learning, that is,the integration of robot-related knowledge, the determination of course objectives, and the design of course subjects, and then based on the general process of solving problems with computational thinking, design graphical programming courses learning activities for computational thinking under the guidance of the SCS Maker Teaching Method, aiming at further promoting students' engagement degree in robotic courses learning through this unique activity inquiry method,at the same time, gradually cultivate students'awareness of using computational thinking to solve problems in this process, and finally design course presentations and evaluation forms that promotes students' engagement degree. In the study of carrying out the practical application of courses, first make a necessary explanation for the subjects and environment of courses, and then develop specific cases for teaching practices based on the framework of courses learning design and its activity inquiry process. Finally, design the measurement tools to investigate the students' engagement degree in robot programming courses in primary schools, collect valid data from the four dimensions of students' cognitive engagement degree, behavioral engagement degree, emotional engagement degree and social engagement degree through questionnaires and interviews, and make statistics and analysis on these data, then get the conclusion that courses teaching have a positive impact on students'engagement degree,at the same time, get the factors that affect students' engagement degree in the design of courses learning according to qualitative data analysis and discussion. The practical results show that in practices of robot courses, the graphical programming teaching based on taking robots as carriers has effective guidance and assistance for developing students' computational thinking in primary school, and the specific course cases developed according to the course learning design framework and activity inquiry process can effectively improve students' engagement degree in practical teaching.
