Nowadays,the national and local governments lay special stress on creating School Characteristics,developing School Characteristic culture is the trend of the future school education.School Characteristic Project is a number of individual characteristics,according to the students’ characters,rational utilization of the school’s tradition,the advantages of the school,the characteristic of teachers or geographic advantages of school,it has obvious advantages in the same school.The construction of School Characteristic Project is the process of school formed Characteristic Project.For a school,School Characteristic Project Construction is the breakthrough to build the school characteristics;it can promote the development between teachers and students,and also is the effective approach to bring out the curriculum reform.Through literature study,the writer discovers that the research of current School Characteristic Project is superficial and not enough in-depth.To deepen understanding the general School Characteristic Project development must also be researched based on the specific operation of the school actually.And since 2002,the development of the characteristic project of Nanjing Z Primary School has made a lot of achievements.This causes the writer do the field research on the construction of characteristic project in Nanjing Z Primary School.This reasearch divided into the following parts.The introduction,mainly introduces and analyses the domestic and foreign literature study of School Characteristic Project construction,and defines the core concepts.The first chapter introduces Nanjing Z Primary School,its school characteristic project and the representativeness of the school.The second chapter has carried on the process of project construction,the writer attempts to review the principals,the measures for popularization and improvement,institutional guarantee,funding support and project propagate.The third chapter analyzes the effectiveness of the construction of characteristic projects in Z primary school in Nanjing.The analysis is based on three aspects:"student","teacher" and"school".It is believed that it has promoted the students’ personal growth,promoted the teachers’ professional ability,passed the acceptance of education system,and received favorable comments from parents and communities.The fourth chapter sums up the experience and deficiency of Z Primary School Characteristic Project construction,and puts forward suggestions.The characteristic project experience of Z Primary School lies in the following points.Initially,we should select suitable projects for students.Secondly,the leaders should pay attention to characteristic development.Thirdly,the characteristic project must be aimed at all the students,;Furthermore,school-based courses promote characteristic project.Additionally,we should support characteristic projects with people,finance and system.Finally,we should publicize characteristic project in various ways.The perplexity of Z Primary School Characteristic Project is how to associate with School Characteristics Culture and School Characteristic Project.The inadequacies is the contradiction among characteristic project development and students’ interests,classroomroutines and learning time.The author put forward the following suggestions.Firstly,school culture is the foundation.Secondly,standardized management is the basic.Thirdly,teachers’scientific research is the source.Finally,to promote the school characteristics projects,we shoule find partners.
