Legal Protection Of Geographical Indications In My Country

According to the existing laws and regulations,China’s protection of geographical indications is still in a primary state.China is not a powerful country for the protection of geographical indications,but has an immense amount of geographical indication resources which show China’s traditional characteristics and gain a worldwide reputation.In order to protect national brands,we must comprehensively and systematically take measures to protect China’s geographical indications.First,this article briefly summarizes the basic issues such as the concept and characteristics of geographical indications.Secondly,it compares the legal protection of geographical indications in foreign countries and analyzes the current status of geographical indication protection in China.Finally,it discusses some problems in the protection of geographical indications in China and some reasonable suggestions are given to improve the protection,which can contribute to legal protection of geographical.
