A Study Of Trotsky's Role And Status During The October Revolution

The victory of the October Revolution marks the foundation of Soviet Russia:the first socialist state in human history and the beginning of a new stage of the human development.Trotsky is an early leader of the Bolshevik Party and Soviet Russia.As an important leader and also a participant of the October Revolution,he waged the October Revolution and contributed greatly to the victory of the October Revolution and the stable of the Soviet Russia.Firstly,Trotsky's experience on revolution in his early years,which includes his motivation to participate in revolution,the process of becoming a Marxists and his contradiction and split with Lenin.Then,the contribution of Trotsky in the October Revolution is studied in three stages: leading the armed uprising,leading the foreign affairs and the forming of Red Army.The effort and experience in the October Revolution are evaluated,which is of reference significance to the comprehensive evaluation of Trotsky.Based on literature review and the Marxism Historical materialism,the misconceptions and dispute over Trotsky in the October Revolution are presented and discussed using the Marx's theory on the evaluation of historical figures.The positive effort of Trotsky in the October Revolution is revealed and emphasized.A relatively objective and fair evaluation on the contribution and status of Trotsky in the October Revolution is proposed.The study of this paper is of reference significance for the understanding and research of Trotsky,the October Revolution and the contribution of Trotsky on the October Revolution.
