Incentives For Grassroots Police Technicians From The Perspective Of Two-factor Theory

The police in China,who works on forensic science,trace examination,physical and chemical test,document examination,imaging technology,sound-mark identification,digital evidence,psychological test,police dog technology and reconnaissance technology are called police technical officers.Basic police technical officers not only have duties on investigation but also have obligations of proving evidence to the court.It is important unsolved problems for basic police technical officers that strengthening whose construction and stimulating whose enthusiasm and creativity on the basic police technique.Basic police technical officers’ motivation,which basing on Herzberg’s two-factor theory,is researched in this paper.The research is divided into two parts:questionnaire survey and interview.The questionnaire was designed and analyzed around two factors of hygiene and motivation in the questionnaire survey.During the interview,the author works together with basic police technical officers and interviews both leaders and normal policemen to obtain the basic status and satisfaction of the work at the present.And basing on this,analysis problems and reasons,purpose countermeasures and measures and guide the practice of basic police technical officers’ motivation better.Research proves that basic police technical officers’ satisfaction remains good.Promotion space and complication training are lacked in the motive factor.Operation management mode,salary treatment,supervision and assessment mechanism,social status and workload have problems in the hygiene factor.According to the research status,five parts of problems are analyzed,which are unreasonable salary,unscientific examination and supervision,lack of art of leadership,contradiction of promotion space,unfilled training of communication.The measures of solving the deficiencies of basic police technical officers’ motivation are containing two parts.On the motive factor part,the cultivation of the sense of career achievement is focused.On the motive factor part,incentive effect is supposed to be payed attention to.
