Public relation is a modern subject with vigorous vitality,and since the new century,the research of police public relations is also in the ascendant.In the past few years,China's police agencies at various levels and many police officers have been involved in all kinds of new media platforms.After initial exploration and rapid development,the camp of public security new media is expanding,and the platform that it touches is increasing and its influence is increasing day by day.Specifically,this article is divided into the following four parts:In the first part of this article,the disputes about public relations,police public relations and new media are combed.This is the foundation of this article.Specifically,the first chapter introduces the "public relations" of many classic definition and basic characteristics,and focuses on the description of the police public relations in the public relations have common characteristics,also has the unique intrinsic attributes and external manifestations;secondly,introduces the basic concept of "media" and the general classification,and the relationship of police public relations with the media;thirdly,introduced the "new media" concept,characteristics,classification and manifestations of basic knowledge;finally,the comb from the Web1.0 era to the Web3.0 era,the police using the portal,micro-blog,WeChat and other new media broadcast platform technology in different times,to carry out the practice of public relations.The second part of this article mainly introduces the characteristics and functions of the new media application in the construction of police public relations.The first is the analysis of the characteristics of the new media platform for the construction of police public relations in the publication,including language style and timing;then the use of new media in the construction of the police public relations in the role of the main can be more comprehensive and detailed collection and integration involving police departments and police work information to guide public opinion,to change the passive the initiative,effectively reshape the police public image;finally analyzes the role of new media in police work,including the effective development of sound channels,strengthen the publicity of policing police contact,promote police work,to effectively collect and collate all kinds of police and police related information of public opinion and the public security organs to promote scientific decision-making,effectively promote the construction of service-oriented public security organs,etc.The third part of this paper focuses on the problems and challenges facing the application of new media in the police public relations.The police in carrying out the existing public relations problems in the use of new media,the main content can not fully meet the needs of the people,the lack of interaction,major events passive information release is not standardized,lack of overall coordination effect,the lack of professional promotion,social awareness is not high,the uneven quality of operators and team construction organization construction is weak,in place,extensive mode of management,and so on;the application of new media face the challenge of police public relations,there are more and more complicated environment of public opinion,to the construction of the police public relations challenge,multi subject propagation pattern,breaking the mass media public discourse space in monopoly,regulation of public opinion is increased,the grim situation of network information security that poses a huge threat to the security of the network information system of the police.
