A Study On The Social Resilience Of The Jewish Community In Israel

For over one thousand years,the Jewish people have undergone trials and tribulations,but they still stick to the city of god,"the Promised Land",enduring to survive and never to part.That is where the national sense of crisis and insecurity of the Jewish people lie,bringing them a huge amount of energy.The Jewish people have a strong ability to adapt to the environment,the resilience to cope with setbacks and the perseverance to progress.Nothing seems to have held the Jewish people back from their strong will to move forward.The Jewish people's optimistic and indomitable spirit is the unique national character that serves as the solid foundation for the national resilience,leading the nation to solidarity and strength,exerting powerful influence on its culture,values and beliefs directly and indirectly.Resilience is part of the national spirit of the Jewish people,a psychological innate that yields an ever-endeavoring power..This paper,focuses on the reinforcement of the Jewish resilience and the Jewish spirit from the perspective of the overall Jewish national spirit,a subject which is comparatively in the field of Jewish and Israeli studies in China..It examines and measures the social resilience of the residents of the Gaza Strip during Operation Protective Edge in summer 2014 based on the interviews that the author conducted personally with some Israeli youths as case studies in order to understand the relationships of the individual and communal resilience in the Israeli society under the broader framework of the Jewish spirit.The paper concludes that the resilience of the Jewish people contributes a lot to the formation of the Jewish national spirit,It is the best and most essential part of any nation or state in nourishing its culture and national character.In recent years,outbreaks of disaster in various forms in social life worldwide caused immeasurable loss to people's lives and property.Social environment factors play an key role in the formation of the individual resilience,both reflecting certain individual differences and showing the characteristics of a society.Sociality Communities as social organizations at the grass-roots level are on the forefront of social risk management,and community residents are the main component members of the community,playing a decisive role in the community.The Jewish resilience is a model for any other societies which endeavor to survive and prosper.
