An Analysis Of The Reasons For The Political Right Deviation Of The Japanese Government

Since the Japan Meiji restoration,the Japanese right-wing forces has been playing very important roles in Japanese politics and social lives.It is easy to discover their traces almost in all the external aggressions that Japan started to other countries.And in the meantime,people could hear their voices in both external policy and domestic policy as well.Though the democratic reforms and developments that provided by United States,other countries and international organizations helped a lot in a certain extent,lots of right-wing forces haven’t been cleared because of different reasons.And they owned their new developments while Japanese economic power was growing in a sustainable growth after WWII.From the WWII to now,the tendency of the Japanese government is becoming more obviously to the right-wing.After the end of Cold War,Japan overflowed with the right-wing trend of thoughts.The trend covered in political circle,public voice,social thoughts,and the right-wing forces acted much more seriously in plenty of activities including denying the history of aggressions brazenly and making the distortion of history deliberately,beautifying the aggressive crime in public,trying to modification and break through the pacifist constitution,engaging in arms expansion as well,and etc.On the other hand,the power that could contain the right-wing forces had been reduced.From the middle of 1990s,Japan started a new trend of thought which was called New Nationalism and it actually pushed Japanese diplomacy and internal affairs to right-wing.It was even stronger and worse when Shinzo Abe and his liberal democratic party won the regime in 2012.Also,Abe and his members of cabinet visited the Yasukumi war shrine several times after he built his own cabinet.And The House of Representatives even agreed with the new security act which included lifting a ban of collective rights of self-defense in militias and this made Japan bog down deeper and deeper in right-wing forces.The internal cause is one of the reason that Japanese government has been right-wing,such as their traditional thoughts in admiring in the Mikado,culture in bushido,shame-based culture and ethnocetrism.In addition,Japanese politic and economy is another reason.shown in keeping the system of Japanese emperor,one-party autocracy and right-wing financial groups continuing to support right-wings forces.And some right-wing politicians affect the situation,too.Beyond all above,Japan influences by the United States’ policy to Japan and China’s developments and these are in the great importance.Specially the reforms that United States did for Japan in politic,economy and military after WWII were cleaning and reorganizing had changed to protect and connive when Cold war began.This made a huge push during Japanese government was turning to right-wing.
