Research On The Art Of Dulcimer Ensemble Performance

The dulcimer has existed in folk music as an accompaniment and ensemble since it was introduced to the People's Republic of China in the Ming and Qing Dynasties.Since the founding of the People's Republic of China,the art of dulcimer instrumental music has also gradually embarked on the path of professional education.Through the unremitting practice of several generations of dulcimer performers and educators in performance techniques,music composition,musical instrument reform,etc.,it has accumulated a lot of results and experience.At the same time,since the 1980 s,with the participation of professional composers,the content and form of the dulcimer's works have been diversified,and many new explorations and attempts have been made in terms of performance methods,instrument sound effects,and combination methods.Under the multiple influences of music culture and education model,the art of dulcimer duo came into being,and a number of contemporary duo works were enriched in the performance practice,which also provided more possibilities for contemporary dulcimer art teaching.This article discusses the art of dulcimer duo from the aspects of work creation,musical instrument reform,and artistic practice.Combining their own rehearsal performance experience,this paper analyzes and discusses four dulcimer duo with different content styles as examples to explain the contemporary value of dulcimer duo.
