According to historical documents,it is a great event in ancient Chinese history that the eldest son of the king of Zhou,Taibo,and his second son,Zhongyong,left the Central Plains for their younger brother,Jili.After that,they settled down in the south of the Yangtze River and established the state of Wu.Taibo and Zhongyong brought advanced culture and technology and accelerated the process of Jiangnan civilization.The integration of this advanced civilization and local indigenous culture shows a unique regional color and integration track.Over the years,in this vast area,many Wu cultural relics have been found,which provides a solid foundation for us to understand the history of Wu culture from the physical level.In recent years,with the continuous enrichment of archaeological excavation materials of Wu culture,relevant research has also been pushed into depth.The special study of bronze ware of Wu state is the core of the study of Wu culture.Through the development of this study,a clearer framework has been built for the development of Wu culture.Before that,many experts have discussed some of the bronze wares,but the bronze tripod in Wu culture has not been systematically analyzed,and the bronze tripod is an important kind of bronze wares,an important symbol of social development at that time,and an important manifestation of cultural characteristics,so the research on it is of great significance.This paper takes the bronze tripod excavated and cleared up in the south of the Yangtze River as the research object,and discusses the development and cultural origin of the bronze tripod in the pre-Qin period of Wu state.This paper is divided into three parts: introduction,body and conclusion.The introduction part mainly expounds the related concepts,the background of the topic,the status quo of the research,and the innovation points and shortcomings.The main body is divided into four chapters.The first chapter first refers to the published excavation briefing of the pre Qin period of the state of Wu,and summarizes the characteristics of bronzes in the tombs of the state of Wu.According to the geographical location,the tombs of Wu state in the pre Qin period can be divided into two regions: the southeast of Anhui Province and the south of Jiangsu Province.In the second chapter,on the basis of the previous text,the related bronze tripods are classified into five categories: square tripod(a),pan Kou vertical tripod(b),hemispherical tripod(c),pot shaped covered tripod(d),small mouth pot tripod(E).In the third chapter,five kinds of tripods are divided into districts and stages.According to the geographical location,it can be divided into Southeast Anhui,Ningzhen and other areas except Ningzhen in southern Jiangsu.According to the time sequence,it can be divided into seven segments,namely,the early one,the early two,the early three,the middle four,the middle five,the middle six and the late seven.The fourth chapter analyzes and discusses the origin of the bronze tripod of the state of Wu in the pre-Qin period,studies the development process of the bronze tripod with the method of archeological typology,reveals the development law of the bronze tripod in the region of Wu culture,discusses the archetype,local type and mixed type of the Wu culture factors,and discusses the name of the so-called "mound tomb remains" prevailing at that time.The conclusion part summarizes the whole paper.
