A Study On The Authenticity And Subjectivity Of The Cultural Heritage Documentary "Hanzheng Street"

Since the birth of documentary,the discussion on the authenticity and subjectivity of documentary has never stopped and no conclusion has been reached.Authenticity is the basis of documentaries,and subjectivity endows documentaries with certain aesthetic connotations.With the increasing variety of documentaries,the boundary between the two is gradually blurred,showing a balanced relationship.In particular,the cultural heritage documentaries present a strong uniqueness in the balance between authenticity and subjectivity,which is embodied in the following aspects: ensuring authenticity in content;strengthening authenticity and humanistic feelings of documentaries through the combination of subjects,narrative perspectives and oral history interviews;Shooting and production give play to subjective initiative,freehand shots and artistic expression in the post-production are good ways for subjective creation,so as to clarify the theme and the intention of the creator.The documentary of cultural heritage is of great value to deal with the relationship between authenticity and subjectivity.Personal work “Hanzheng Street” is a documentary about the cultural heritage of Hanzheng Street,a historical district.Hanzheng Street presents typical characteristics in the development of Wuhan's modern history,so Hanzheng Street is a very representative subject of the documentary on the cultural heritage.On this basis,the author deals with the authenticity and subjectivity in the process of cultural heritage documentary creation from the perspective of balance,which is not only conducive to improving the documentary's documentary function and aesthetic connotation,but also makes a detailed and in-depth study on the theory of the relationship between authenticity and subjectivity of documentary.
