Moreover, does the "wisdom" that the philosopher sees outside the cave apply to the "wisdom" needed to rule the city-state? This led to different views of later philosophers. The introduction part of this paper briefly sorts out the reasons for modern people’s views on theoretical practice, clarifies the meaning of ancient Greek theory and practice, and shows the research methods of this paper. The first chapter discusses the establishment of the most beautiful city-state from Plato’s search for justice. The second chapter focuses on Plato’s discussion of "form",reveals the tension between theory and practice from the interpretation of "the metaphor of the cave",and tries to show that Plato has completed the unification of theory and practice in a certain citystate. The third chapter returns to the relationship between theory and practice. In this chapter,I will view this issue from the response of later philosophers.Aristotle’s distinction between the theory of wisdom and wise that wise is a special kind of intellectual ability,it is neither scientific, nor make, more is not meditation, but when it comes to good or bad things to people with a proper measure of the quality of the associated action, philosophical contemplation of life and of the city and his political life completely separate. | | Keywords/Search Tags: | theory, practice, skill, contemplative life, political life | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
